Just got banned, I played Pokemon Sun online for a few minutes, did battle and trades.

I can still access eshop, but I cant play mk7 or ssb online, hope you guys find a solution :(

Can we not get a copy of those files that we are replacing, i.e, rip them from our own machines, then just chuck in some random id's off the top of our heads to unban ourselves?

I have a theory on getting unbanned with one 3ds. I won't tell because you already know how. ;)

So if I play the game while online (Like showing up on friends lists, etc.) but don't use any of the online features will I get banned? Or should I be safe?

Both are possibilities
Damn. Maybe I'll just dump the certs and keep them on my hdd until the 15 days wears off. If it turns out to be a permaban, then I guess I'll have to gimp both my and my brothers' 3ds and try to avoid being online at the same time.

I guess intermittent online is better than no online

You SHOULD not be banned but at this point we arent sure. Go access the e-shop or another game and go online and see if you get an error code.

People who are banned, try to go online with any retail game, or Gateway/Sky3DS if you have one but played on .cia anyway for whatever reason.

It's possible that only your "console header" is banned, causing all installed apps to not work online, and retail games will work fine because they have separate headers in them.

didn't work out.

I'm more interested in what kinds of bans are being put out rather than how to get unbanned.

I don't quite understand why there are so many different codes on different consoles, why some people are NNID banned but not console, console but not NNID, both, console or NNID but can play things online but not the eShop (like what?), etc.

It looks like they pulled these out of a hat and handed them out.
