the banned system is a N3DS with AL9H and the latest fw
Awesome so 2ds to n3ds should work in theory.
Now my only problem is that they are different regions. 2DS is NA, N3DS is EU. I wonder if that could cause some problems.

Its like a perfect storm of things that could possibly go wrong with this in my case lmao

i have no idea about this stuff so i'm just asking, but, why can't we just share these files we need to play games online again? and why would that sacrifice the donor console?

There'd be tons of duped consoles online I'm assuming, and that obviously leads to disaster

The same thing will happen when Gatewait users started to use a shared public header. It ended up as an disaster with lots of gateway/sky3ds users being perma banned.

Well, a workaround granted you have a second system with CFW that you're willing to essentially disable for the sake of your newer one.

Could you elaborate on that? That was one of my concerns. I didn't know what would happen to the 3ds you dumped the certs from.

so it's safe to dump a certs.db from an old 3ds and inject it into a new 3ds using decrypt9? i thought that was a significant file that had to have its mac (or something) regenerated or else the console wouldn't boot?

also i can currently still access the eshop through emunand which has my NNID games and settings on it...if i inject the certs and localfriendseed into my sysnand and i can get online, should i still theoretically be able to also get online on the eshop through emunand still or no?

Nothing technically I don't think, you'd just have to be careful since you're going to have the exact same info on 2 different systems

Don't quote me on this, I'm not positive

So is that like a risk you'd have to take with nintendo seeing two systems on the network using the same certs? Or is it more of a risk of one of them getting banned causing them all to get banned?

I want to again stress that WE DO NOT KNOW IF THERE WILL BE ANY FUTURE NEGATIVE EFFECTS FROM THIS. I HOLD NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANYTHING THAT GOES WRONG WHEN YOU DO IT

I ALSO HOLD NO RESPONSIBILITY IF YOUR A JERK AND GO BUY A 3DS, DUMP THE CERTS, AND RETURN IT. I KNOW SOME OF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT THIS AND IT'S A JERK MOVE, JUST SAYING.

Last edited by marksteele,
i have a fix,

1. sell 3ds on craigslist/ebay/letgo with sun and moon
2. buy a 3ds with the right firmware
3. hack it and dont go online with sun and moon until friday
