They both are CFW, the heck are you talking about, you can do some research before posting anything ....
RedNAND isn't CFW for your system its just an EmuNAND it has no affect on your system. The emunand itself is CFW yes but it those not actually touch the fw of your wii u

wtf x3, what about "IOSUHAX CFW" ???

IOSUHAX = allows patches on fw.img such as redNAND and WUPServer

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

What are you talking about? My redNAND was dumped and installed in less than 3 hours.

"IOSUHAX VFW vs redNAND" he probably don't know anything about it

takes almost a whole day to dump
lol, no. For 32GB systems it normally takes 2 hours. There have been exception where it could take a couple of hours, but never has it been a day. For 8GB systems, many have reported around an hour or so.
Can never be updated
We actually don't know this as fact. Since there isn't a new update available, we can't test this.
Anyways, that should also kind of be a con for sysNAND as well. Sure, you can update, but you'll be losing hax, lol.

IMO I dont need rednand. I used IOSUhax to install haxchi with CFW booter on Brain age, then used wupinstaller to install another game, THEN IOSUhaxed it to install HBL on the other game. Since (afaik, i dont use it) you have to use CFW booter to load rednand everytime you turn the console on anyway, yet we can install and play titles without sig patches, and play VC and dlc with sig patches (again, with the same CFWbooter method) there's no need IMO for rednand OTHER THAN that it is 100% safe. Unless you intend on doing more than the norm, you dont need rednand

Edit: All I need now is the ability to install other homebrew apps in the same way. i use SD cafiine alot, and im sure we are eventully going to get an all in one retroarch app, so thats really all i'd need on sysnand

To each his own

Edit 2: Also, in regards to coldbooting, you can just, ykno, use the quick menu to boot up your haxchi CFWbooter game. So not really sure why people want to mess with that.

Umm we do know this. A dev updated their 5.4.0 rednand and it bricked because rednand doesn't emulate a certain part of the wii u which is needed to update.

Source, please?
I'm almost always on #wiiubru. IOSUHAX is hardcoded to only work on 5.5.1, so unless they modified IOSUhax to work on a lower FW, then no.

We do know it as a fact since REDNAND cannot emulate all parts of the firmware and those key parts that cannot be emulated will be updated over to sysNAND and therefore brick since it will be a partial update

Thats true, But if you manage to install some dodgy file to sysNAND & manage to corrupt your storage or actual nand, That it... Its done. If you do the same to redNAND, It bricks redNAND, Format SD & start again. Thats the reason most people use it (Well thats why I use it anyway)

yo, do Marko76 is a real source, like we need some proof from developers, not from that random guy, and it has been hardcoded for 5.5.1
