So my friend was in the process of switching to a9lh and now when she tries to turn on her 3ds it doesn't. Only the blue light turns on. And when she tries to boot without an sd card, the blue light turns on for a while and back off. According to her, she followed everything correctly and right at the end of the "Move EmuNAND" step, when you're supposed to press start to reboot after finishing remounting your sd card, a black screen appeared. Is she bricked?

Might prolly because of unconfigured LumaCFW. Ask her to configure Luma again.
Hint: Hold Select while turning on the 3DS.

Nothing happens? That means there are no Arm9/Luma installed and have probably bricked the 3DS.

But here's another one, try redownloading every files on Plailect's site and put it on the SD card.
If it still doesn't work, I'm sorry.

She told me that she had already installed a9lh and finished configuring Luma. From there she moved on to the moving emunand step on the guide.

Bolded part usually means A9LH is successfully installed, just check back if arm9loaderhax.bin is in the root of sd card and luma payloads configured
also if im not mistaken if you get a black screen at the end of moving emunand part, you need to delete home menu exdata (or try other methods) as per the guide's troubleshooting page

I believe, you are only to move emunand from 1 sd to another AFTER restoring the original backup.. but if she already installed arm9loaderhax from 2.1, that's fine. Should pose no problem... I wonder what happened.

Oh yeah, also, she needs to replace the arm9loaderhax.bin to a new one.
Where should she get a new one from?
@GoldenExperience

Oh sipp. Was that with and w/o SD card in (lrua reset)?
She tried it both ways.

Yup, everything you mentioned is in her sd card. And she deleted the extdata.

Just get the arm9loaderhax.bin from the one on plailect's site.
Think of it like this. The first arm9loaderhax.bin that you got from the file on plailect's site is now modified, thanks to installing the arm9loaderhax..
Now, redownload it, arm9loaderhax.bin, to have a clean copy of arm9loaderhax.bin and replace the modified one on the SD card.

@GoldenExperience

There should be one on the plailect codex (guide); check the last part of setting up luma+a9lh, there should be a section for troubleshooting; I think it might be in there (.bin)?
It worked!!!! Thanks guys!
