Hacking 3ds cfw help (descriptive version)

so my last attempt at hacking my 3ds failed
if anyone could tell me what i did wrong or guide me through the process step by step id be very grateful . here what I have to work with
3ds xl old running on 6.12
1 sdhc card
one pc with a card reader that I use to acsess the sdhc card
my 3ds cartridge reader is broken meaning it cant read flash cart . so that's out .
I tried following plailects guide but it didn't work out . heres what I did

1. Create a folder named files9 on the root of your SD card if it does not already exist(yup)
2. Copy Launcher.dat and Decrypt9WIP.dat from the Decrypt9WIP zip to the root of your SD card(yup)
3. Reinsert your SD card into your 3DS(now this is where I started getting confused . I assumed this was mixed up with the next step so I did that instead)
4. Put Decrypt9.nds from the Decrypt9 zip on your DS flashcard(put it where?on root or in a folder?)
5. Start your DS flashcard from your 3DS(yup)
6. Boot Decrypt9.nds using your flashcart(heres where I ran into a brick wall I cant play flash carts)

• 1. Select the correct option for your system version
  2. 4.X.X -> “4.x Decrypt9WIP”

• 6.X.X -> “6.x Decrypt9WIP”

1. Reboot the system, then go to System Settings, then “Other Settings”, then “Profile”, then “Nintendo DS Profile”
2. If the exploit was successful, you will have booted into Decrypt9

so there if anyone out there can point out what I did wrong or explain the process to me id be really grateful. also if you know a guide I could work with using only the tools I listed at the top please post a link . thanks

The first two columns of the chart refer to the last number of your version (which corresponds to the browser version installed to the system). If the version is -0 then you do not have a browser, while any number above -0 indicates a browser is installed.

The “from” and “to” fields are inclusive. This means that, for example, the “from 9.0.0 to 9.2.0” row includes 9.0.0, 9.1.0, and 9.2.0.

In the case of “5.0.0-0U” for example, you would follow the “No Browser” column and 5.0.0 to 5.1.0 row because the system is on the a system version in that range and has no browser installed.

Unless you can find someone who can repair your Slot1, your only options now are to find someone with Wifi to set everything up with. Or sell your 3DS and buy one that already has A9LH pre-installed.

wifi I can find somewhere . selling the damn thing is out of the question got it from a friend . agreed to hack it for him and I get to use it while I'm at it
