Hey.
I'm aware that there are PS1 emulators for the Vita out there, but I actually own quite a lot of PS1 games that I'd like to install, would I be able to do it using a PS3 and QCMA like I'm able to on 3.51? Thanks in advance.

Like she says, the psn games of crash bandicoot does not work on vita. It works on ps3, and psp but not vita, none of the vita systems (originial, slim, tv) Is not able to copy from PS3 nor can you download it directly on the system.

Only possible way to play on psvita is to remote play from ps3, which is the worst possible choice, even more so than playing it on psp. Also pstv doesn't even have ps3 remote play.

Not even with a PS1 whitelist enabler installed? Then what's the use of the PS1 whitelist enabler?

I forgot to ask if the PS1 whitelist works on Henkaku. Found no answer on Google.
Unfortunately, there is whitelist for PS1 games,i would like to play crash games on no NA account but i can't.
Have you tried any whitelist enabler?
You can't even download the game n Vita.

I'm not saying she's wrong, neither that she's right :). It just sounds very strange to release a PS1 whitelist enabler when you can't even transfer the game in the first place.

White list trick doesn't effect games that cannot be copy to system, it only effect games that can be copy to system. For example on PSTV (I believe the reason why it was made in the first place) Was so that you can play vita games that doesn't allow you to play on it nomally Either by updating the game it self and by chance has compatibility to run Example would be uncharted golden abyss. Since the game can be copy to system, the white list will work.

Crash bandicoot games (And spyro the dragon) will not copy to system period, there for the, it does not work. Besides i think the whitelist was made to allow all psvita games to work on psvita tv regardless of it it can be played or not. I have not heard of any whitelist functions for PSP or PSX classic games.

It works on ps3, and psp but not vita, none of the vita systems (originial, slim, tv) Is not able to copy from PS3 nor can you download it directly on the system from psn.

That is all i know as of now. Not all psx games can be downloaded to the system, not all PSP games will work on PSvita tv (I have no idea why honestly, Castlevania dracula x chronicles. :glare:

Your only possible option is.
  1. Remote play from ps3
  2. Some emulator like retroarch maybe?
  3. New hack (Which someone confirmed is in progress.) http://gbatemp.net/threads/psp-emu-natively-hacked-on-psvita.442901/

Actually, you're all wrong. There is a way to install PS1 games (and some PSP games, too) that are available on the PSP but not the Vita by using the PKG installer. You can download the PKGs of the games straight from Sony's servers with MediaGO or directly through a browser, then you just use the PKG installer on the Vita to install it. You do need to actually own the game for this to work, as well as have a PSP so you can grab the license file and place it in PSPEMU on the memory card. Some problem games that don't work on the PSP won't work on the Vita either, but anything that runs on the PSP should work just fine.

Proof, the Spyro games that I installed using that method from my own PSN account:

This is the step-by-step on Wololo, I followed the same: http://wololo.net/talk/viewtopic.php?p=409835#p409835

So you can't do it without psp, cause of the license file...?

Because it's not using an exploit to play the game, you need to have a license file generated by your account for that game. The only way to do that would be to either use a PSP, or a PS3 with CFW to install the game so it generates the proper license file and can be transferred to the Vita's PSPEmu.

The whole method will be moot once The Flow releases his eCFW for PSP mode since you could just use that, but for now that was the only way to transfer stuff like that.

Just keep in mind using IDU mode and VitaRW can be potentially dangerous, so be cautious and follow the instructions to the letter so you don't accidentally fuck something up. Check Wololo for a tutorial on how to install the PKG manager and such if you need it.

The method itself is a little wonky and no one really uses it, so be aware if some games don't work there's not much that can be done to troubleshoot/fix it. PCSX-ReArmed works fairly well for most stuff now, and PS1 games look so much better there instead (since they're not being rendered at PSP's resolution and then upscaled to the Vita's) so I suggest looking into that as well.

i used this method to install my copy of burnout legends since for some reason i couldn't download it directly and it worked great, I also made this XPD Reader just for fun but if anyone wants it here you go.

XPD Reader v1.1.7z

Update:
changed it so it just downloads the pkg file instead of copying the link, a progress bar will show you the percent and a message will pop up when its downloaded.
it will also name it as the games title instead of the long code the pkg is called.

Enjoy.
