Somehow this went unnoticed, but you can actually do this now. This will let you play games such as Project Zero that did not get an eShop release depending on your region.

1) Download and extract the new DiscU: https://twitter.com/crediar/status/791775642949914624
2) Run DiscU.exe path\to\game.key path\to\game.wud c
3) After it's done extracting, go into the folder that was just generated (WUP-P-AL5P in my case) and find the first "GM" folder which holds the game data. Proceed to copy all the files in this directory to your SD card in the SD:\Install folder.
4) Go up one directory and enter the system\02 folder. Copy the title.tik, title.tmd and title.cert files in the SD:\Install folder as well.
5) Proceed to install it like you would with eShop releases. I recommend https://gbatemp.net/threads/wupinstaller-y-mod-with-mulitple-install-folders.445907/

Have fun :)

Oh shit, with this I should be able to install Project zero!

Thanks, will report back *snip*

Also just to clarify Kaine: In this one you do not edit the TIK files for installing on the system storage at all? You just use the data on the disc as is, and TIK as is? Or you still modify the TIK "like duh??"?

US or EUR?
It's not released in europe

I hesitated to ask if it's possible to re-encrypt it back when the method came out, I thought there must be a separate set of signature to prevent it or somebody should have thought about it already... so I was right...

Game affected by this that I know of:
NES Remix Pack(US)
New Super Luigi U

You do not have to modify the ticket, just install as is.

ok, so the contents of GM folder go into /install to the SD (not the folder itself, just the contents).

and then install it with wupinstaller newest version?

The exact command I used was:
Code:
DiscU.exe disckey.bin game.wud c
disckey.bin was just the title key pasted in with a hex editor.

Welp, lost like a noob.
Just to clarify I don't know cmd basics but I do have an idea on how it works, I dunno how to write paths to directories and such.
So why is the titlekey a .bin file? Isn't it a .tik file? Game.wud? Should I rename the game to that? (keeping the wud extension)
c?

EDIT: Nvm, figured it out.
