Thanks Ganoncrotch, i'm gonna ask the sellers. I don't really want to buy a used console because my own console is very clean (I'm very careful) and i don't want to have a less beautiful one. A used vita good as new in shops are rare, there is always at least one scratch on the screen.
Good for you man Me, i'm affaid to buy this on the internet. The seller can lie for the firmware or the scratches and on the photos, it's sometime hard to see due to the light or something. And I want an EUR console. I'm not sure if an US or JAP console have my native language in it...I recently bought a "used" Soul Sacrifice Premium Edition vita on Amazon [...] with a few scratches [...] on 2.05.
It'd be impossible to encounter a brand new 3.61 Vita anywhere. Sony had slowed production to a crawl back in April, if they haven't stopped production altogether now, and AFAIK no new shipments have been sent to stores in ages. You will never ever find a new, unopened Vita with a firmware above 3.5 (or possibly 3.36, I don't believe anyone has actually reported a new Vita with 3.5+ on it) period. This goes for Vita TVs as well.I would wager it would be almost impossible to encounter a 3.61 Vita new in EU, but if you are in any doubt you could always try second hand stores and if you again are friendly with the staff you could ask for a little demo of the system to "make sure the screen is okay" or something and then just head straight for the System info and check the Version before buying it.
Next week i'm gonna buy a new vita and sell my "old" one. Thanks for all your responses guys.
