oh yeah, the console sees it as legit, there is no trickery going on here besides the method of installation

the wii u natively supports loading games off of usb and that's what this is, full speed 100%

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

also probably a stupid question, does this bring us closer to hbl forwarders on the home screen?
This isn't a step closer. It's just a side step.

ok, I thought I would give this a try but I'm getting an error that I can't find any info on. Here are the steps I went through:

1. Downloaded a full game with NEW-NUSGrabberGUI
a. It created a folder called 0000000000000001 [NOTE: Not the real folder name]
b. Moved '0000000000000001' folder to SD:/Install
2. Opened WUD file for the same game I downloaded with Uwizard
a. Extracted Game Files to a folder
3. Opened/modified title.tik file (located in system/02/ folder of extracted WUD) with Wii U ticket modifier with GUI (aka Tik Changer)
a. Copied title.tik file to SD:/Install/0000000000000001 folder
4. Put the SD back into the Wii U
5. Plugged in a Wii U Formated USB Stick (removing my vWii formatted one)
6. Launched the Homebew Launcher
7. Launched the modified WUP Installer
8. Pressed X to install to USB Stick

Then then booted me back to a Wii U load screen, followed by a black screen with the following error: MCP_InstallGetInfo 0xFFFBF3E2

Your help is apprecaited.

Its should be:

SD:/Install/<All files here>

NOT SD:/Install/0000000000000001/<all files here>

whaat??
i transfer all game folders to sd, change first folder name to install, install it, put sd in pc, delete install folder then change the next folder to install, and back in wiiu install the next and so on without restart wiiu , u can install multipe times when you in wupinstaller
You don't even need to put into a PC, use FTPiiU to rename the folder on your SD.

I dont know if this belongs here or not..but here it goes

Im not a very wealthy man, so Im considering my options for the USB storage for this very hack.
Should I buy a 80$ worth combo of WD Elements 1TB and Y cable, or should I simply buy a 15$ 64gb usb stick and be done with it?
What do you think, I cannot make my mind so GBATemps hive mind would surely help I thought ...

Well first fill up internal memory and see if it is enough. Then buy 500 GB or 1TB if internal memory is not enough.

Get a 64gb drive. Fits plenty of games. Or a $30 128gb one

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
