OP
what about 1080p60? does 4k really make your eyes burn?
1080p60 is okay sometimes, it honestly just depends on what's being filmed, how it's filmed etc.
And yeah 4k does tend to make my eyes burn, might be because I'm not used to the pixel density.

less than 60 fps makes my head burn!
seriously, if i play games with low framerates my head will hurt for the entire day...
i don't really care about the resolution.. i only care about resolution because setting the wrong one in a LCD just blurs the entire thing, and that is what bothers me. however i have a small solution, play old ancient games in letterbox! even if the picture is tiny, if it's at 60 fps or at least high enough to don't "lag" i can play just fine...

anyway. did you tried on several monitors tv?
and do you use glasses or something? maybe you can grab that sign and go to a doctor to give it a check?

maybe the tv just had settings too high?.. when i am at a media markt, they have the tv's set up with weird settings, like high saturation and max brightness to make it look like a XXX live sex neon! anyway... the store lights usually fuck it up... too white and too bright or too colorfull...
