Note: i've made a guide on this + the bluetooth audio stream mod, check it out here:
https://gbatemp.net/threads/wireless-charge-bluetooth-mod-guide-n3ds-xl-in-4k.446003/

I've done it =)
I've acctually build in a receiver coil in my N3ds XL, it's really inside the 3ds so not on the backcover or under the backcover, it's really inside, that's a big thing since i already have a bluetooth receiver build inside the 3ds, but i've managed to get both in + working.
Here is a video of the n3ds xl wirelessly charing :D

That is really cool! Though if it was my 3DS i'd be worried about having it mess up somehow.
It's not my first hardware mod, there can't really happen anything that i haven't faced yet, i've replaced my EU motherboard with a US one, NAND hard modded it, changed the powerboard + swapped the led's out of it, build a bluetooth transmitter in the 3ds that streams audio to bluetooth receivers for full wireless gameplay while streaming with ntr + button on the top to control the bluetooth + a led on the cover to see status, + now the wireless charge mod, everything is really holding up well, the only real problem i have, is not having enough space inside my 3ds for future mods xD

Wow that's amazing! Think you could write a tutorial? Also <3 that rayqayqay skin where did ya get it?
the skin i got from a dutch company that sells them on ebay, since you're from US i think shipping cost wise i'd be cheaper to get one from ebay us but i'll link ya anyway, for the tutorial, it's real easy:
get a QI wireless charge receiver + transmitter from ebay, ther like 6-9 dollar's, the receiver should be one of these to put on the back of a phone, mine is one for the galaxy s5, stripped it, build it inside where i had the only space (between the SD reader and the Joystick) , made sure i had pos and nega 100% certain, and hooked them up, that's all :) 3mm tape to hold it in place. i'll make a more detailed tutorail if needed

link for receiver: http://www.ebay.com/itm/39134813995...49&var=660585617877&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
link for transmitter:http://www.ebay.com/itm/131816458152?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
link for the decal:http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Nintend...337277?hash=item27f98aa3fd:g:0rcAAOSwrklU-DtF
they also have it in green

That's definitely cool. However, I have to ask how badly this is something that's even needed when Nintendo offers an official charging cradle for the N3DS XL that essentially accomplishes the same thing. The only benefit I can really think of is that you can use any wireless phone charger out there so if you're at a friends and they have one while you didn't bring a charging cord, that would certainly be somewhat useful.

Having said that, if your bluetooth mod is anything like this one: http://gbatemp.net/threads/n3ds-xl-with-integrated-bluetooth-audio-hardware-mod.417712/ that can output audio to a bluetooth speaker/headset, then that is something I'm absolutely interested in. The OP in that thread even explains how to do it, but its far too advanced for me to try, I'd fail for sure. He like you is also not in America, so while I'd love to pay someone out there to do the bluetooth mod to my N3DS XL, it doesn't seem like that's a realistic possibility here, as far as I've found anyway.

yes that's the bluetooth mod, if you go though his comments you will find me ther :P, the wireless charge mod was just because it's possible, i get bored and need something to build so i try to find stuff haha, it's also cool because i can spread out wireless charge transmitter all over the place to charge my 3ds on dedicated spots =), if you really need help with the bluetooth mod we can surely sort something out. requirement wise it wassn't really expensive but i used two transmitters because the first one i got was faulty, i will say, i had to modify my bluetooth receiver too because range was limited and i build a 2.4ghz antenna on to the bluetooth receiver and now i get like 5-8 meter range, before i got like 1-2 meter range. you can't really increase the range of the tranmitter in the 3ds but you sure can increase the receiver's range.

my receiver was a couple of dollar's Action (dutch wallmart) receiver but works fine with the antenna mod, so if you tell me what you want to achieve with the bt mod and stuff we can surely sort stuff out =)

Don't take my words the wrong way, what you did here is absolutely cool and impressive. And I get the doing stuff cuz you're bored thing, that's how you find yourself a career doing something you love/want. So by all means keep doing what you love.

In terms of the bluetooth, all I'd want is the standard deal done, no need to increase the range of my receiver, as I have multiple bluetooth speaker/headphones, but all I'd use is my bluetooth headphones, which would never be more than 2 meters from the device when in use, if that. Am I correct in understanding that with the bluetooth mod, you can still connect speakers/headphones into he 3.5mm jack and get audio that way as well? I do want that mod at some point to be done, but there really is no rush at this time.

Nice. I've been figuring out how to make one for my Samsung S5 phone but chickening out because potentially breaking a damn phone is annoying.
you don't need to make one for your s5, matter of fact i used a s5 wireless charger for my 3ds, so just buy the same thing i bought and put it on it, no soldering nothing

i have some troubleshooting to do first, (charging wireless + wired protection + disruption of touch screen while wireless charging because of magnetic field)
once i've sorted it all out + made sure it's 100% safe i can start thinking about services =)

yes speakers + headphone jack both keep functioning perfect, you'll just add another way of outputing by enabling bluetooth + putting something in your headphone jack (to mute the speakers + reroute audio) and if you're bound to a bluetooth device it will transmit.

Here's my Bt Setup:
video:

you need this bluetooth trans/receiver:

you strip it appart and wire it all up in the 3ds:

also added a little button to control the bluetooth functions:
(the little circle close to the infrared)
IMG_2577.JPG
also a led in blue + red for "info" about bt

this is the bt receiver i use to stream audio to my laptop:

cheap couple of dollar thingie that i put a 2.4ghz antenna on to extend range.
that's about it =)
