Hello all,

I recently brought a hacked 2DS and decided I wanted to download a game to play using CIAngel and it decided to do me a ticket (which I hadnt heard of). Done a little google search to find out it had to be installed via FBI.

I went into it then Tickets to see there was TONS. So I decided to delete them all so I didnt get confused with what one I wanted to download.. Once I had done that an error message popped up prompting me to reset the console.

And now it wont start up, Ive press L+R+UP when turning on and a menu pops up 'Decrypt9WIP'.

Is there any way I can get to the home page? Any help would be brilliant, thanks

Kind Regards

Restore your NAND backup from after A9LH was installed. If necessary, ask the person you bought from if they still have it.

Probably deleted too much
It's bricked unless you have a Nand backup..

And don't delete tickets manually unless you explicitly have a need to.. tikSweep deletes all unused tickets quick and simple

Since you have Decrypt9, you could try and restore a Nand backup. Assuming you don't have one of these, you could try recovery mode with A+R+L+Up(DPad).

a ctrtransfer may possibly restore all the normal system title tickets too (i would imagine it would, but not 100% sure of what method ctrtransfer actually uses)

but yeah a actual proper nand backup from his sytem would be better

I very much doubt I can get the NAND backup :( so thats my new ds buggered then! Looks like Ive learnt the hard way

Im quite new to all this. Is it possible someone could explain to me how I'd do that please?

Sorry I hadnt actually noticed, and to gamesquest thank you. I will try this first thing tomorrow getting abit late now! Really hope it works and I havent messed it all up. Pray for me haha. Touch wood

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Would this get rid of the homebrew that is on the DS if successful?

I maybe wrong but the CTR transfer only touches the CTR Partition.
If you deleted all titles, then not only the CTR partition is busted but also the TWL one.(partition for DS compatibility on 2/3DS)

With the CTRtransfer you'll probably be able to restore the system to a certain point but will be a frankenware (firmware incomplete).
If that happens, there's a possibility of restoring it with a huge amount of work (specially for a newbie) by installing the TWL system titles.

Keep posting your progress so we can assist you in the best way.

[EDIT]
I was writing when I saw @Quantumcat post:
As She said, check the files/folders of your SD to see if you find a "*NAND.bin" file in there.
If exists, and you can launch Decrypt9, you can restore it and you're safe.

BTW, post the layout of your SD so we can have a better notion of what CFW you have.
[/EDIT]

[EDIT 2]
Damn, I was really convinced I read Titles on the OP.
Just saw now that OP wrote Tickets.

My bad
[/EDIT 2]

Thanks for all your input guys. I'll try it today :)

If worst case happens could i press L, R, UP and A to restore and update. Could i downgrade it and hack it again?

only if you have a second old 3DS so you can do a DSiWare downgrade.

Edit: Oops, forgot the context of this post. As below.

You started decrypt9 while holding a button at boot. That means you have A9LH, and that hack will stay after an update. You are safe.

So I can put the latest nintendo update on and itll still have homebrew on it?

Yeah it should (assuming your current cfw has firm protection in place, but most do)

I would still suggest just trying to do a ctrtransfer first as that's more likely to fix everything up, I imagine if you deleted all the tickets safemode won't work anayway
