Can't seem to access the eShop, even with ctr-httpwn in effect. So before I download, will Freakyhax still work?

What exploits work on the latest firmware? I wanna keep my homebrew, and still be able to buy the new SMT game next week?

My understanding was that ctr-httpwn still worked. What happens when you try it?

I don't think any exploits work on the current firmware yet.

@mashers I use the latest version on the Homebrew Launcher, leave the Homebrew Launcher, go to the eshop, and it prompts me to download the latest system update.

I think that could be your problem. You're not supposed to leave Homebrew Launcher. You're supposed to run ctr-httpwn then run the HANS version of eShop from within HBL. If you leave HBL and go back to the home menu, then you're not in hax any more and ctr-httpwn won't work.

Couldn't they press Start and then press the button needed to go back to the Home Menu without rebooting after starting ctr-httpwn?

Oh wait, the readme for ctr-httpwn says "for using system-eShop-app on >=v10.0.0-X, you can just return to Home Menu from hbmenu". So according to that it should work from the home menu. Nonetheless, have you tried the HANS verison from HBL immediately after running ctr-httpwn?

@KunoichiZ
I'm thinking that perhaps ctr-httpwn has been patched in the home menu, but it might still work while still within HBL if you use the HANS version. I'm going to try it now.

I've just successfully launched the eShop on 11.0 by doing the following:
  • Boot Luma
  • Run homebrew launcher loader
  • Run ctr-httpwn and let it do its stuff, then press START to get back to HBL
  • Run eShop HANS version from the homebrew starter pack
It worked fine - got me to the eShop with no update nag.

If you exit the HBL using start + X it works as well. Luma3DS is not relevant. Both do not work for OP.

It also worked when I did this:
  • Boot Luma
  • Run homebrew launcher loader
  • Run ctr-httpwn and let it do its stuff, then press START to get back to HBL
  • From HBL, press START to bring up the reboot menu
  • Choose the option to exit HBL to home menu with no reboot
  • Run system eShop
How do I get LUMA on my 3DS?

I've just noticed that too :) As for why it's not working for the OP, I have no idea. It seems like it should work.
