Henkaku V6 Release and Vitashell 1.00 update

HENKAKU Release 6 Changelog (September 12, 2016)

  • Whitelisted scePowerSetGpuClockFrequency, scePowerRequestColdReset,scePowerRequestStandby, and scePowerRegisterCallback
  • Fixed rare bug which crashes modded SceShell. There is still no PSN spoofing for modded SceShell
  • Removed “welcome” message when triggering exploit (was used for debugging and is no longer needed)

Changelog for VitaShell 1.2 (September 21 2016)
  • Added ability to export photo and music files (‘More’ -> ‘Export media’).
  • Added battery percentage to system information (thanks to littlebalup).
  • Added toolbox where more features will have place, by theorywrong (press START).
  • Improved stability for file browser delete operation.
  • Pressing L in the music player will now restart the song if the song is not at the beginning.
  • VitaShell will now remove the unused updater bubble after successful updating.

the gpu speed up is optional?
because surely it would use more battery, and if not needed always... why use it?

or we need to use amphetamine or rincheat to speed up...? that makes sense :)

i would like to know also...
how turn on! dont care about battery ... i just want it on ( hoping it might speed up Zelda N64 on VHBL )...

First place the amphetamin plugin and game.txt in the ux0/plugin folder.
Then when the game is playing, press and hold select, it will bring up the OC menu

Also, it will only work on games that are dumped by vitamin, not sure about Maidumper.
It will not work on VHBL or homebrew afaik

Also - you have to be using 'better amphetamin plugin' or rincheat plugin. Not the one that comes with vitamin. Don't know why. It says so in the article at wololo, links are up there too.

Ahhh Ha! i see thankyou .. im not into dumping yet... im just liking the emulators... but i now i understand .. amphetamine or rincheat is dumping tools i was thinking ... they be a overclocking tool for ALL GAMES ! i have all my Vita Favorites on my 64gig card...
so i thought i could boost them...

why do we need a custom firmware for loading a plugin?
so at the moment, without cfw, we can load a plugin only with dumped games.
but we can't load plugins with normal games, because we need cfw...? :blink:

we need HACKS, which we have. we just need a dev to do it :)
but i guess having cool stuff running with legit games is not so important...
because we are always just rip our games. a bit sad lol.

Hmm yes, it seems I didn't think it through. I was referring to how we could change the vsh/game/psx speeds on a PSP with cfw, but yes it is probably possible with HENkaku currently.
Maybe it has something to do with because legit game is encrypted, it can't be set to run at a higher clock? I don't know why amphetamin currently only supports dumps.

Vitashell 1.0 will not auto update from 0.95 according to someone a bug exist and i guess a manual install is required. If you wish to use 1.0 in molecule, load vita shell, Select ux0:/apps vitashell. Copy the eboot.bin to MLCL00001 To use 1.0 when loading molecule.

Yeah, i posted that soon after the initial post. But That is what i did. The 0.95 vitashell has a update bug that requires manual update with th install. So i just added this extra instructions to anyone who want to have just molecular shell updated to 1.0. My update from 0.91 to 0.95 made two extra apps appear, i hope this is fixed in the future updates to just one get updated instead of both getting installed. :)

Still i am hoping plugins like the overclock doesn't require vitamin dumps in future as well. :P

last night i updated my v4 to v5, updated the molecularShell from 0.91 to 0.95 from inside the app. Got two new apps, VitaShell Updater and VitaShell 0.95. I then deleted molecularShell and this VitaShell updater and everything seems to be working fine, I wonder if by deleting molecularShell I might be in trouble.

You can delete molecularshell, but you won't get the hotlink to the Henkaku installer in the LiveArea - you'll have to use the browser manually.

No, but henkaku version 6 is out already :P
Did you see my post on the front page? Going to the website henkaku will always install molecular shell if is not detected on the systsm. Vita shell is the same thing as molecular shell. Every henkaku visit will attempt to install the latest version of vitashell into molecular app. Either one is okay but having molecular shell gone will just increase waiting time to reactivate it cause it will install it again.

yeah, but my vita is at home, didn't get the chance to update yet. But I'm loving this breath of fresh air the vita is getting, it reminds me of the good old days of the PSP 1.50 kxploit and devhook
That is nice, but don't get hopes up too soon, is no major kxploit yet. But is a start. Having access to game dumping and plugins, or even homebrew is a start to "REJUVINATE" the vita. :P

Actually it's been confirmed that HENkaku is a kernel exploit. Unless you're talking about the ePSP one.
