Right now? No.

In the next couple years? Probably.

While Sony themselves don't really work on Vita projects, third party devs are still putting out games for it just fine. I imagine Sony will continue to "support" the Vita until they either reveal their next handheld or announce they're not going to make one.

EDIT: Oh, also, inb4VITARDED4YRSNOGUMZ

Do you think they are gonna make a Handheld?

Try finding a list of upcoming games for it. :creep:
CAUSE DAMMN.. I didn't know they were making a Story mode Minecraft for it... now I may actually get one... and hack it

Even if that were to happen, you're better off just playing on the JP server unless they launch it with all the content up to now, which is very unlikely.
My best guess is they will make a ps4 port and then release internationally and the vita is jap exlusive. :glare:
All the focus of sega on everything else but phantasy star american localizaton, is most likely to happen. I would be happy if they just did a Phantasy star hd remater collection of the First four classic games on master system and megadrive.
Sold at $10 each or $40 for bundle on either digital services or retail a reason to buy a sega game that isn't just a port for mobile. :P

The support it's getting is typical of the end of a console's life. Pretty much only small Japanese games and indies are released for the vita nowadays, give or take. Even the ps3 gets more love

I think it will live on thanks to recent developments in the hacking scene. But on a commercial level, it is very much dead, as dead as the Wii U sadly is. And thats coming from someone who loves the Wii U. It's just the fact of the matter, sure there may be a few games being developed for the device, but all-in-all there really aren't any more 1st or 2nd party titles (or if there are in the case of the Wii U, they also seem to be getting released for its successor as well) being developed for it, with no indication of any more to come in the future either. As far as Sony is concerned, it doesn't even sound like they're going to release a successor to the Vita either.

Vita is a great handheld and a great console.

its just is too powerful in the current time thats the problem. which company is going to spend time doing a AAA game on a handheld.

3DS is just above N64 in graphics.

Vita is above a PS2 in graphics.

the whole point of gaming industry is not about graphics is about making money. its more efficient to make a game for 3DS than vita.

Vita already had shoddy support at best. With the release of Henkaku and Vitamin, yea, I think we are about to have a repeat of the PSP. Console sales will go up for a while, but with piracy so readily available and noob friendly plus the fact of the Vita being a rather unpopular system to begin with, I don't see game sales doing well.

Someone needs to go take a look at their N64 graphics again. 3DS is much closer to the Gamecube's graphics than it is "just above" N64 graphics.
