Hacking Decrypt9WIP not loading anymore ?

Hey there,

ago few Months i installed Successfully CFW on my O3DS XL (My first CFW/HB/Exploit). Everything was okay in that time, i was able to install .cia games, and use every "App" in my Homebrew Launcher.

Well, i dont used my 3Ds for over 2 Months now, so i forgot everything about Flashing or installing CFW.

I can remember that i removed some Files on my 3DS SD Card after i read on a Guide (The Guide was for the CFW, i was on Version 9 and downgraded to 4.2 i think, because the guide sayd it, i done every step successfully.) that this files are after the CFW Install Progress not more important.

Ago 2 Days i started playing with my 3Ds again, everything works fine, but in my Homebrew Launcher the Decrypt9WIP App wont boot. I choose Decrypt9WIP in my Homebrew, the Screen goes Black, then Green and then it brings me back to my Homebrew XD.

Any Ideas ? How can i "reinstall" Decrypt9WIP ? maybe i deleted a File from Decrypt9WIP Wrongly...

Edit: I am actually on the newest 3Ds Version with CFW/Sysnand.

Edit2: I see my Luma has a HIGH Version, my Currently Luma Version is alot older...
So: How i know ever that all my Apps in my HB are Outdated ? and where i find theyr newest Downloadlinks ? and what i need to do every time if i want to Update my Apps in my HB (I forgot all Locations etc. in my SD Card, i hate my self) ?

if you have CFW why not just use the payload?

to "reinstall" the homebrew version, just download the latest decrypt9, delete the decrypt9 files on the SD and put in the new downloaded ones on?

I Edited my Post, read "Edit2". I need now all Links, and all Locations etc. i dont know anymore where to download the files and where to put them and how to install them on my 3Ds, damnit.

Edit2: Aaaaargh, i opened FBI on my 3Ds and then i choosed "Update".There was a new Version, and now i have 2 FBI Shortcuts on my 3Ds. The normal one has still the "!" Picture, and is still the old Version, and the New FBI Shortcut has the FBI Icon and is the newer Version...how i remove one of them ? xd...

i dont touch anymore anything on my 3Ds before my 3Ds bricks in any way.

The payload (in this case Decrypt9WIP.bin, and I'm assuming you're using luma, since it's the most common) goes in "/luma/payloads/" and requires a name for a button-hold on start up, like x_Decrypt9WIP.bin, so if you hold x while turning on your 3ds, it will boot decrypt9.

Alternatively, the homebrew version just goes into the "/3ds/" folder on your SD card (this is the .3dsx file), in the case of Decrypt9, just put the Decrypt9WIP folder into your 3ds folder.

i cant remember anymore what i taked as Hotkey on the 3Ds boot for my Decrypt9...i looked now on my SD Card and there was 3 Files beginning with x,y and START. I Pressed all 3 Buttons together now on my 3DS while it was booting, now i am in Hourglass....i cant remember anything anymore.

Where do i download Decrypt ?

I had my first time where i tried to install the CFW Problems because i used a German Guide and the Guide missed alot of Steps. People told me in this Community to use the English Guide and that was the best Guide and it worked with one Try .

I used successfully this Guide: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Part-1-(Decrypt9) so yeah i think its from Plailect <3.

Edit: RIP. I downloaded the First Link on your Site, and there was alot of Files. I just Copied and Pasted the Decrypt9 Folder inside my SD Card->3DS Folder and it asked me for rewrite and i pressed Yes. My 3Ds still wont Boot Decrypt9....

Edit2: Okay i found a Site from Luma, and they say if there are Problems etc. i need the latest Version.
How i Update my Luma ? if i Open the Luma App on my 3Ds home menu, there are few Options/Ways to Update Luma..

Actually i want first to Update all my Default Homebrew Apps (Inclusive my HB). But i dont know how to Update them, and where to find Download links.

I puttet all of your Files inside my SD Card, and now: Decrypt9WIP still wont Boot. And if i try to Open Luma 3Ds on my 3Ds homemenu, it wont start anymore....it gives me a error :o (It says: Could not load Software. Device Reboot).

Edit: I puttet Out my SD Card and reinserted it, now Luma works. But still not Decrypt9WIP. So: Rip my CFW ? or what does it means if i try to start Decrypt9WIP and land back to HB ?

OP, you can try any of the D-pad buttons (down, up, right, left) so try calling it down_Decrypt9.bin

I am all the time replacing the 3Ds Folder because i thought my Decrypt9WIP is Corrupted or something. And everyone asks me how i installed the CFW, and if i have the newest Decrypt9WIP Version on my 3Ds or not.

And Finally someone gives me the right answer (My 3Ds is on the newest Version with Sys/CFW.I think the newest version was 11, right ? so i have 11).

I found a bin file in my Payloud folder with down_x.bin so i guess that wont work ? i renamed Decrypt9.bin to left_Decrypt9.bin but nothing happens on booting while i Drag the Pad left...

Check the Picture. I have alot of .bin files in my payload folder, and i dont know what is what haha, and i dont know which of them are important and which not :o.

EDIT: *FACEPALM* i forgot that my 3Ds has 2x Pads. I tried it before with the Round Pad and it wont work. Now i pressed LEFT on the Pads with the Arrows and it worked.

Just 4 u to know:

It seems to be normal that launching decrypt9 (or emunand9) from hbc won't work with a9lh.
Just copy the payloads (the .bin files) onto your SD card and start them via Luma3DS Payload loader (chainloading or what it is called) or a bootmanager

I forgot something: After i pressed the Update Button in FBI, i have now 2 FBI Apps on my 3Ds Menu...so how to fix it ? The Original and older Version of FBI has still the normal " ! " Warning Icon until i mark it and then it shows me at the top of the Screen the FBI Icon.
The newer Version of FBI has the FBI Icon at the Bottom Screen too, but its annoying if i have 2 FBI Apps on my Home Menue haha. How to Fix it ?

edit: I can remove the newer FBI trough my System Settings, but i cant remove the old Version of FBI....i want to have the newer Version on my 3Ds with the Normal " ! " Warning Icon until i mark it and the Top Screen shows the right Icon...

If you have a backup of your original health and safety app (hs.app) you can inject it the same way you injected FBI. The icon may not clear, but there's a tool in development that has icon cache clearing as one of its features (Chthulu, I may not have spelled it correctly)

If you update FBI you will always get the "normal" FBI CIA installed.

If I understand you correctly ProfiSuchti, you want the new Version of FBI in your h&s app (the one with the yellow triangle). In this case you must create a new h&s app with the newest FBI Version and inject it into your sysNAND. This has to be done with every update FBI gets (if you want to have always the newest version).
