Hacking Question about custom firmware

I herd a lot about this custom firmware but you need 9.2 systems.
can i get custom firmware if i'm at 11?
also if i get it downgraded to 9.2 can i play online as well?
i need help!!

You cannot get CFW from 11.0
If you downgrade to 9.2 you have 2 options

1. Install menuhax + create a emuNAND + unlink the NANDs + update emuNAND
2. Install Arm9LoaderHax and have a 11.0 CFW and

You don't need to worry about this at all due to the two options @Gray_Jack gave you: either use an emuNAND and update it (so it's not on 9.2 firmware but 11.0, and you can play online yes) or use a9lh and have a 11.0 CFW (where you can play online too).

To answer your real question, to downgrade your 11.0 console, you need either a second, hacked 3DS for DsiWare downgrade, or a hardmod. Details: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Firmware-Downgrade

I think you're confusing Homebrew Laucher with CFW
OoThax can launch HBL but doesn't have a arm9 kernel exploit in the 11.0 to start a CFW

Menuhax is just as good as OoThax (does the same thing) and is free.

Well, I am not an expert but I read that someone is currently working on a arm9 exploit on 11.0. I have no idea whether he will be successful or not.
