Hi,

I bought a PS3 Slim 250go recently.
There is already a Rogero 4.65 firmware.

Can I format the console to restore factory settings ?

Can I use my PSN account ? No ban ?

Can I bought games and/or DLC on the PSN through the PS3 safely ?

Can I play retail games without being ban ?

Is there another firmware better/simplier to use or I can stay on Rogero ?

1. You want a fresh CFW or OFW?

2. You can. Follow this video's guide. Make sure when using PSNinja make selections 1, 2, 3, and 5. Not 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.

3. Some can. Although I HIGHLY recommend you don't. Unfortunately pirating is a safer option for DLC downloads. Of course on games like Destiny, Black Ops 3, or AW there is no point to buy them because the ban is to easy. Visiting the PSN store at all is very bad as it has a good CFW detection. You can take the risk if you want though.

4. Yes. It's better to have retail games than XMB or backuped games. I do take the risk and use backup games haven't been banned I use proper anti-ban. If you do that you could probably as well.. Destiny, Black Ops 3, and AW have no good anti-ban. Popular games like GTA V, BO2, or MW3 are nice to play though. You still need to download anti-ban.

5. I recommend Rebug. It is very easy and nice to use for beginners.

1. I don't see any need to format the system. Formatting is hard if you don't have a mounting system to properly do it. I recommend just going straight to REBUG or your desired CFW.

3. If you mean access the PSN store then forget about it. When you pirate you download on your PC/Laptop and put it on USB then install it as a .pkg on your PS3 then it will install the DLC files to the game. No money. That is the only safe way to install DLC. Don't install pirated DLC on Destiny, Black Ops 3, or Advanced Warfare as ban rates are already high and you can make them higher. The ban rate is for the games banning system not PSN ban.

4. Buy the game disc, pirate the game to XMB, or pirate the game to a backup manager (e.g Multiman, Webmod, or Iris). Remember when you pirate you don't buy. So if you wanna earn games legit then buy them from Gamestop or something. If you wanna digit game them pirating is always an option. Also I forgot to mention you can backup your games to the PS3 then play them without the disc. This is NOT considered piracy. You can even backup your friends games and play them.

5. Yes. Install Rebug afterwards switch to DEX system so you can play region-free all your games.

3 . I've got a PSTV to activate in order to play mys Vita games on. And as my Vita stays on 3.60, I need something to download the game I purchase to it.

1. It would be very hard. You can manually erase the content. Just delete the game data, save files, any games, maybe some homebrew, pictures, videos, or users. Like I said if you format you will have to go through the pain of re-putting a CFW on your ps3.

3. Yes you can use the PS3. Just make sure you use the video I gave you first. I am not sure how it will go. You should check google as I am sorry. I don't own a Vita, but I am sure there is a CFW way to do this.

4. Just use a REBUG updat.PUP and it will update your system to Rebug CFW (Make sure there are no USB in the ports while it is updating). Check this page. It's full of features. Rebug is always updating it has almost all useful CFW features. It is so simple to use and so packed to the core with features. You will love it I assure you. (Make sure to install REX edition)

I'm back with some news.
I successfully installed Rebug REX.

But the data of the previous owner are still here. So what can I do to wipe this ? There is three options in the système menu

• Wipe preferences data
• Wipe content
• Restore PS3 system

I'm not sure for the translation as my menu is not in english

Those dead files are known as cache. To delete those you need to use multiman to clear the cache dead files. Check out this. There should be a section to clear cache. I still don't know about the Vita situation. It's a risk and you could take it if you want to.

Just delete all users and create a new one. Along with deletion you will delete the users stuff.

Go to CFW 3.55 and de-flash first (google it). Then go to OFW and do whatever you want.

I will use later some homebrew to play PS2 games.

If you are on D-REX which you are not then you need to use Rebug Toolbox to spoof your console ID to a CEX console ID.
