Okay. So I just installed the v1.2 patch cia with the v10 translation.. still getting the same damn black screen after the 3DS splash :'( all other games work fine

Or just, you know, install a default Japanese MHX cia without any patches and see if it works.

Hi guys need a little help. I'm running an O3DS with sys4.5 & rxtools emu11.0 with NTR enabled but I can't seem to make the game run (even MH4U or SSB wont work )

Dont use NTR on old 3ds. MHX and SSB use the whole RAM on o3DS, so there is no room left for NTR. Dont use any cheat files for NTR. This causes it to freeze at 3ds screen (when using prepatched v10).

I'm having some weird issues right now for some unknown reason. I've been trying to play MHX online and I've successfully done it before a number of times, but now it's telling me I need up update in order to play online. Now, what's weird is I shouldn't be getting this error because I'm on 11.0.0-33 and MHX is at 1.2 English. But even after updating all the way to the latest version of the 3DS firmware this stupid error still refuses to go away. I can connect to the eShop and download DLC from MHX's download menu just fine, so.... what the fuck gives?

Last week I updated from 10.5 to 11.0 in the cfw to be able to go online again in MH4U and MHX. I use a prepatched 1.2 v10 cia. Just tested it, MHX works fine online, i can join a room. MHX (RF,FS) maingame is installed.

Maybe install the vanilla 1.2 update, and try again. If that works, go back to the v10 prepatched 1.2.

The convert tool basically reads the mhx sav format as per the wiki, and inserts it directly into an empty mhg template file. There is a section which is catered for jdlc, but I guess we won't know where, or how the data size, until the first dlc appears. I've marked it out for those who are interested with tinkering.

Some people prefer the jap version, also someone know how to use the mh4u font instead of the chappy one mhx uses

But there's absolutely no difference between the jap version and english version. There's no censorship either. I find it ridiculous to translate the jap version when there's a legit working english game now. If you're going to play the jap version then don't bother translating it.
