Is it possible to do dlc quests?

Well I guess it's possible to edit the DLC quests, but there's 4 bytes I got to figure out first

Hey APM I would like to contribute a little bit to this thread, This post is about the best Elemental Dual Blades + Set to them. (So there are 5 sets) Dragon, Thunder, Water, Fire and Ice

The skills that all 5 sets have are the same.

Critical Eye +3 (30% affinity)
Elemental Crits (When you crit your elemental deals 25% extra dmg)
Razor Sharpness (Your sharpness goes 50% Slower down, so one could say you had 2x sharpness)
Elemental Attack up ( This is directly 10% more elemental attack)
Specific Element up +2 (Specific as in. Dragon set is Dragon atk +2, if water, Water atk +2) this is why there are 5 sets cuz this skill changes. what does element up do? it is also 10% element dmg increase but, in mh4u +2 would increase element attack by 40, since the dmg got "balanced" to gen, I think it's either +5 or +10. so if its +10 then this skill does +10 elemental and 10% more elemental dmg.

Now for the chosen dual blades.

Before I state them you should know these things.

The dual blades required slots for having these perfect skill set, so even if you realize there is a better dual blade, it might not be better at all because it would proly lack a gem slot, which would render them useless in this combo. keep in mind those DB's are best in a combo with the sets.

Dragon - Devil Jho, one of the two great dragon DB's, the other one is sagaru they are both close, but this one takes the cake. THIS IS AN EVENT REWARD DB Hyper Devil Jho is not released yet. so keep that in mind.
Thunder - Kirin, kirin is the best thunder dual blade
Water - Mizutsune There has been a lot of close dual blades, but because of slot requirement, and the sharpness calculation etc. Mizutsune DB has proven to scale better.
Fire - Glavenus. A lot of people think "Salamander" DB is better, the difference between those two are that Glavenus has 30 more raw dmg, but 8 less fire than Salamander. otherwise, Salamander has 35% affinity but 0 sockets. Some argue that Salamander is better, but they forget, if you go Salamander, you lose a gem slot, which means your CE+3 will be CE+2. Because of that, the new difference would then be, 30 raw -8 fire vs 25% affinity. which clearly states that 30 raw is a way to huge so Salamander is a no go.
Ice - Lagombi - Lagombi DB is the best because of its sharpness + socket. there might be better ice weapons out there, but definitely not with this combo.

A lot of the sets looks similar, only the gems , charms, and kirin jacket is different, these armor, are the Highest defense value, so its best survival as well, what do I mean by highest defense value? A lot of people can find 1000 different ways to make a skill set, some might have 200 defense, some might have 500 defense. These sets I've created, NOBODY CAN make the same sets with a higher defense than mine. the other ones will either be the same, or lower.

These are PERFECT Elemental Dual Blade Sets. (Before you import, make sure you import them in a box space which is empty. I myself saved them on box 5. Equip them all once and register them as sets, then you can sort them again if you want)

no. And people really don't know unless you're using something like max Hellblade stuff at HR1 or they bother to look at your Guild card stats. Typically if you hunt well, people don't care.

I noticed that you are able to edit your gunner pouch and put in multiple of the same type of ammo in it. However your not able to replenish them without re-editing you're pouch. Still interesting to play around with; having more than 9 Crag S Lv 3 shots is pretty fun.

Ehm dont think this works unless you tried it out. Back on cfw cheats upon using 1 item from 99 would automaticly scale it down to original limit as in flash bombs if you have 99 in your pouch and throw one. It should say 4 remaining.

Hmm i wonder if you can save item pouch like that haha

There has already been some who has made all the jpg. dlc's. not sure if they are up to share.

It is just a showcase to upcoming DLC. And for your second question, you cant just port over your MHX save because the DLC quests will then cause your game to crash. This is due to MHX having a slightly different folder structure inside the quest then MHGen.

If you want for MHX DLC quests to work for MHGen, you have to unpack all arcs files (DLC QUESTS), dupe all the text-related files for all multi5 languages, create the slightly different matching folder structure for the MHGen DLC and repack everything appropriately. After this all quests will work but the all the text would be just question marks. I went of my way to translate the DLC also which is why its in english here

I used the quest editor, and now I cant unlock some of the awards even though all the quests are complete.

its stated several times in the thread that the quest completer only adds checkmarks, so you actually haven't completed them yet. just do them again for the speciifc awards.

Oh I see. Thats odd. Because it prompts the quest completions which unlock the hunter arts as well as the village requests so I thought it actually completed the quests. Alright thats for the heads up ill get on the quests.

you just gotta do like

complete 1 quest from each hr, and each village, check guild card progress if it says like "you've completed all these quests"

for request complete 1 of each request from each hr again and check if it says something in guild card again, you only need to figure out how they trigger and trigger them.

i got into homebrew on my 3ds. how do i exit the homebrew to my original 3ds menu again?

I think you have to hold L+R+Select until the bottom screen turns pink. Or just power it off then on again.

i tried both ways. On and off the 3ds again and it brings me back into the homnebrew launcher automatically.

Oh, it's L+R+B+Down. or pressing start and A to confirm reboot. But if it's booting back to hbm, it makes me think you installed menuhax and configured it to start automatically?

i dleted menuhax earlier and just install it again and then it says something regarding robqin etc i press B and install finished. then B + START. then when im in homebrew luancher i press start + A and it keeps coming rebooting to HMB even when i ON/OFF it comes back to HBM. Did i install it wrongly?

You need to configure menuhax, if I'm understanding you correctly.

@ishanigan: Any luck on the palico stat-editing front? Is it possible that the palico candy mentions was a DLC palico? Like, one downloaded from official sources?
