1. If you do not see "Emu" in front of the version number, then you are not on RedNAND. DO NOT UPDATE, FIND WHAT WENT WRONG

Saw on reddit; after pressing a to choose rednand/luma3d press Select very quickly and emu 9.2.0-20u will show up. With out pressing select I wasn't getting EMU

What is SecureInfo_A? How do I edit the SecureInfo_A? - know how shows me how not to edit it in the future.
I haven't installed a nintendo user/mii on either the rednand or systemnand. Does that make a difference?

They can change the region by following Plailect's guide after you have everything set up through Part 5. They tend to change the region to access that region's eShop on an o3DS. n3DS systems can't access the region-changed eShop.

Since you have not changed your system's region, skip that step and do not worry about it.

I have 2 3DS's on A9LH now 11.0.0-33U or whatever Sysnand (no Emunand),

I was wondering since I'm leaving one with my father who will be a little less tech savy in the sense; If and when theres an update past 11.0.0-33U, what are the recommendations or procedures?

HB-Loader would already be installed, as is FBI, and Luma Updater. And assumingly Decrypt9, Emunand9, and Hourglass would be accessible still before boot Correct?

But Menuhax is gone if I'm not mistaken least in the steps I followed, so if anything were to uninstall both FBI and HBloader by force, it would mean the console would need to be firmware downgraded to reinstall those features?
I haven't tried yet since guide A9LH went through never re-setup menuhax assuming that its gone/borked or?


But ya basically asking, if and when next update comes, What do, what could/will happen?

Wait and come here to see if the update breaks anything first, then when someone trustworthy gives the OK to, you can update. If not, then DO NOT update. In theory, everything should work like they did on 11.0. And if they don't, I'm sure people will have a full report on what works and what doesn't.

ok i have a problem i cant get online with the privet header i extracted i did this in the following way ( https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-get-your-private-header-using-powersaves.385511/ ) to get it in a .bin
then i did this Added the "DEFAULT_GAMESAVE_KEY=" in settings.txt file, to set your own private header shared for all online games play. dint work so i emailed sky3ds and they refered to this ( https://gbatemp.net/threads/why-sky3ds-gets-002-0123-even-with-a-private-header.385672/ ) that also sint work is there any one who can help me get oinline

System version? Try using an old version of Decrypt9. The newer version doesn't like Homebrew for whatever reason.

If you are paying extra then don't. The Gateway cart isn't hugely useful and any system version up to 10.7 can be downgraded. (You only have to avoid 11.0, you don't need to have 9.0-9.2)

Why? How would I go about playing games from CIAs or ROMs without some sort of flashcart?

Also, have there been updated versions, hardware wise, of the gateway 3ds cart?

One other question, how to make .cia from my game card, do I need a specific program in 3ds or pc?

How would you use it or install it? Use it for having custom firmware all the time instead of having to load it from homebrew loader and emunand. How would you install it? With the guided process here.

CIAs are installed to your home menu and act like purchased eShop games. There's no game a Gateway cartridge can play that you can't install (in fact it's the other way around - there's loads of little eShop games and homebrew apps you can install that you probably can't find a .3ds of).
All Gateway cartridges are the same - there have been no physical revisions of the Gateway over its whole life.

No, games installed become specific to your device.
You can make a cia from a game card by using Decrypt9 to dump it and convert it (not 100% sure on the process). It is easier though to use freeShop to download & install directly, or find the .cia to download on your PC and install manually with FBI (in the case that the game is not available on freeShop).

You install it on the 3ds (as well as enctitlekeys updater). You can search for games in it and they download and install.

I bought pokemon super mystery dungeon, and I want to edit my pokemon to be one of my favorite pokemons. I'm a charmander right now but I want to be a beedrill instead.

So... how do I do this? The 3DS I own is a new 3DS with 11.0 firmware already installed.

Doing this stuff on the DS was easy, you just needed an action replay. No such thing exists for the 3DS for some reason. I bought the Powersaves Pro thinking it was an action replay but it wasn't...
My PSP 3000 has a great CFW on it and using CWCheat, I was able to make my own codes.

But I am at my wit's end here for the 3DS, which lead me to this forum! I can't make heads or tails out of the random articles I find on google about the subject matter.

1. Is there a 3DS equivalent for a CFW + CWCheat? If so, which CFW is it? I thought it was Luma3DS + NTR CFW, but further research shows no...
2. Is there a way to use the AR3DS or the GateShark code on my 3DS? Its a N3DS with the 11.0 firmware.

All I want to do is change 3 numbers at 1 address...

I don't mind buying some kind of hacked SD card or whatnot. I just need to make this happen!

Hello.
I have GW and currently happy with it - all I need is to lauch games quickly.
Although, I'm thinking about going to A9LH way, but I have too much doubts and questions.
My setup is: old 3DS, EmuNAND 11, SysNAND 4.2, emu/sys are linked.

1. With my setup I don't need anything else (specific cartridge games, already hacked consoles or something else) to do everything from Plailect's guide?
2. Should I do something to preserve my GW saves and CIA saves, beside backup? Will they just work on SysNAND 11?
3. Can I copy my EmuNAND to SysNAND after I'm already have A9LH (and get rid of EmuNAND)? I don't want to loose my ID, purchases, layout and e.t.c.
