Now I get c1-2755-9. I opened near normally with an untouched app.db then started the whole process from the beginning and now I get this error. Any help is appreciated thnx

Run Near with the EDITED app.db. then try again. And make sure your uri and appinfo is correct of course :3

EDIT: use gro0 for cart.

Use any FTP client you like on your PC to dump the game files to a safe location.". My game is from the cartridge. Where do I get the decrypted files?

Anyone tested the P4G undub patch with the Euro version of the game yet?
It's literally just file replacement, it'd work with anything so long as you have a JP CPK to get replacement files from.

I am doing it for the EU version now, planning on demuxing the .usm and add the audio to the movies in .MP4 format.

Planning on inserting english text in a JP copy too I guess.

So I've been fiddling with P4G undubbing all day with no success.
I use the EU PSN version (PCSB00245) as base and the JPN dump found in the undub guide.
I seem to be doing something wrong with packing the cpk. When I boot up the game with the repackaged cpk the game boots to a black screen. I tried the uncompressed and compressed method, both with the same result.
Anything special I need to do to get a bootable cpk file?

Nice, glad to know that not using compression makes it work, but the filesize must be hell to transfer over FTP (almost 3 GB whereas compressed correctly, it's about 1 GB)

I think you need to generate a CSV and use cpkmakec.exe (commandline, not the GUI version of the program) with it to generate the new CPK.

Could you share with us how you managed to generate that .csv file? I'm trying to create one for the European version but I'm still clueless.

Alright. I'm definitely doing something wrong.
I threw in the JPN data.cpk to see what would happen. The game booted up. Everything was obviously in Japanese, except the FMVs. which oddly loaded from the EU mp4 files instead of the Japanese usm files...
packaging settings were like this:

Weird, it should work.
Try doing the same but with the cpkmakec tool. Instead of using the .csv file, use the "dir=" option.
Edit: I've done all my work using the original filenames, like data.cpk, untouched. Maybe it changes something? Could you try that for us?
Also, maybe the european .cpk has a different alignment?

Hello. I am indeed of help. Looking through this forum I see that this method doesn't seem to work with every cartridge & I just want to confirm if I'm shit out of luck.

The only game modding I'm interested in are English patches for visual novels. 18+ patches too.

Anyways the game I was trying to mod was Fate/Hollow Ataraxia. My problem is the game REFUSES to start as molecular shell. If I copy the the files within the ux0:app/MLCL00001 folder into the ux0:app/[TITLEID] (ux0:app/PCSG00386) the game will become "corrupted". The little cartridge icon in the top right becomes a default gray color and I can't load the game. Says the game is corrupted. Also same thing for the near manual pop up. If I eject/reinject then it'll say "Game cannot be installed. Finally it'll say the usual "Please insert a vita cartridge that contains this application". If I simply dump the entire MLCL00001 folder into the ux0:app/PCSGblahblah folder then the near manual pop up will load just fine and the game will launch normally. What do if can do?

Haven't tested Fate/Stay Night yet but I'm just going to assume its the same story with this. Both games say "Preparing to launch game" whenever you boot them by the way if that answers anything. They don't close out other applications though. Finally I cam clearly using the cartridge and not a digital copy. Thanks in advance

Good day everyone. I have some problems with P4G and it would be great if someone help.
I'm a weird one. I wanna full Japanese version of game. I copy all data files to the patch folder.
Well its works. But i have some glitches: video plays euro version, missing text, weird textures, sometimes game english text.
So I'm interesting is it even possible to have full Japanese version or just undub and if yes how ?

That's what I did. I don't even have access to ux0:app/[TITLEID]. My game doesn't appear in that folder. I've followed your nicely written tutorial to the T multiple times and everything went smoothly until what I said. Game just refuses to launch as molecularshell

While everyone has been working on that P4G undub (very cool btw) i took to looking at Hyperdimension Neptunia rebirth 1.

Outside of everything being packed in .cpk instead of .pac files the internal files are identical to the steam version. I'm attempting to load some texture mods now and will post results later.

It seems it's something on my end. @Cinnamon seems to have success in booting with a custom cpk.
I will try some things and see if I can figure it out :)
