Ok, thanks for the um, well very long answer (was tired yesterday, maybe thats the reason I haven't understood it back then ).
Once again if you don't feel confident enough, you can send your system to a capiable modder here on gbatemp and have the service done for you if you willing to pay shipping and service fees. :)

I used homebrew to back up saves. I kept having issues with lock ups while trying to do it and eventually gave up backing up Gunman Clive. The image looks like a joke I am not in on.....
Its not a joke, its that person being mad because they were rude to me so i didnt help them, Nintendo's save backup feature is better than homebrew backups as sometimes using homebrew can not correctly inject the save

a friend of mine is super excited to finally have homebrew access on his 11.0 n3ds. i tried to convince him to stay on 9.2, but the allure of newly released games made him update.

he would like to install a legit cia. is this possible through the 3dsx version of fbi?

Well lucky the homebrew backup worked for New Leaf. I initially had trouble but found out I needed to launch the game at least once before I could inject the save.

I have another question. When I reformatted my system I didn't erase the encrypted Nintend 3DS folder. My games didn't display and were not playable after formatting the system but I guess they are still on my SD card taking up space. The big ones are new leaf and DK country returns. When I re downloaded New Leaf did that overwrite the old non-working version on my SD card? If it doesn't is there any good way of editing those non working games off my SD card to free up more space? I tried erasing the Nintendo 3DS folder completely but that wiped my home menu completely. I am thinking I need to go that route and just set up everything and redownload stuff again.

Hey guys. I have an old 3ds on firmware 2.1 with a browser. What are the working ways to upgrade to one of the firmwares working with rxtools, to be able to play backups?

When you format the system, the ticket data inside the system nand gets deleted. Just use ciangel to install ticket for the missing games and they should appear again :)

Well that is simple...awesome! Thanks!

Edit...well it didn't appear again and I know the ticket installed because it lets me redownload from the eshop

Say, if I import a JPN O3DS ice white, will it most likely be dg-able brand new? With menu/browserhax? If not, I'll probably just by one of my own region as I have exploitable games for that. :) thanks!

Is it possible to update via the eShop installed games from .cia?

Or it doesn't work because the eShop doesn't detect you have gotten the game legitimately?

Why would you get one from a different region?

UPDATES ONLY WORK WITH GAMES OF SAME REGION OF SYSTEM. if you have a out of region game, you must install manually with cia file.
