Hello everyone I've just installed Luma, and when I try to start it i get "An error occurred while loading the payload."
I read it may be because my emunand9 is outdated. Can you guys confirm this and point me to an updated guide on how to update it?

From what I read in the guide, you need to downgrade the emunand to 2.1, create a backup image, then restore that image to the sysNand
is this correct? So in essence you are downgrading the sysNAND to 2.1 to get the OTP key?

Is it safe to update my emunand with gateway 3.7.1 fw right now? Im attempting to play kirby planetrobo but, it keeps running into a error which i assume is cause i dont have an updated emunand.

If you follow this guide, you'll end up with a sysNAND of 9.2 and an emuNAND of 11.0, which you can then safely use online features.

Thanks so much! I was able to get redNAND working on my 2ds by following plailect's guide. This may seem like a silly question, but if I followed the guide as written do I need to do anything else such as unlinking the NANDs (or is this something that has already happened)? As I said earlier, I'm really new to all of this.

If you follow the guide as written, you will use TinyFormat to format sysNAND to unlink your NANDs. This is fine because all of your stuff will be on your emuNAND. After you re-set up your sysNAND after using TinyFormat, you'll need to set up menuhax and you'll use the Homebrew Launcher to launch into your emuNAND. If you follow this guide under the Menuhax section, you'll automatically boot into your Luma3DS emuNAND.

Hello again! So I'm trying to install a9lh, and i'm kinda stuck in two things:

1.I can't log into nnid. It says I need to update my system. Is this normal? can I live without this?
2.Every time i exit system settings/click a setting that opens a new software in emuNAND when I come back I'm into sysNAND. Is this normal? What should I do about it?

Iam pretty new to this 3DS Hacking/Homebrew scene and I need your help.

Iam running a o3DSXL with the arm9loaderhax and all is running really smooth.

My problem is, I want to play Pokemon Emerald, but randomized...

I use a 3Ds GBA Footer Generator and a 3DS Simple GBA converter from this thread: https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-agb_firm-signature-patcher-gba-rom-converter.390313/

First i randomized my rom, then created the footer file and finally the .cia
My problem is, the installed cia will start, but after the GBA Font-Loading-sequence
it will remain white.

The same outcome when i used a un-randomized rom (original)

I already got some GBA games installed as cia and they work, can someone actually help me here out?

I dont got a clue what I could have done wrong.

If you followed the guide that gave you emunand, then yes is normal, your NNID information is stored on the EMUNAND along with the rest of your information and games. Also whenever you go to system settings, then exit, the system reboots (As if turning it off and on again) So your back in SYSNAND instead of EMUNAND, use the homebrew entry point and return to EMUNAND again. Your Emunand should be updated to latest version.

Use this guide if you were planning to install a9lh to get complete cfw on your system if you wish. Or you can continue using the EMUNAND like you have been, but you must remember to load it every time you turn on your system.

I have read up a bit on it but could not find a definitive answer, I think I can get the Homebrew channel but from there I don't know what I can do as 11.0.33 is apparently a pain to hack right now. I have read there is a hardmod but I have no money to spend right now so I can't do that.

So is there a way to make it work? Or is a method currently being worked on?
