All in one Utility

Current Status: Working...
Some say i'm begging, or don't have experience; but the
truth is that i do have experience, but i do need help. Porting over
code, and doing this + Work is too much. But, i'll try my best to get this going!

If you'd like to help, visit GitHub.

Introduction:

SwissHax is a Collection of tools, that make your System Utility experience
easy, and simple.

  • Gluten Free
  • Install CIA Files with ease
  • Install Custom Firmware's with ease
  • Automatic Updates
  • A Variety of System/System Menu Hacks
  • Easily Backup your Firmware to a .bin
  • Install Custom System Menu Themes

Do keep in mind though, that SwissHax is still a concept, and it may take a while until it enters development. Since it's OpenSource, people will be able to contribute to the Project. Also, the Project will be created within DevKitProARM.

There will also be more features than there is listed here, the Interface will also be Simple, and easy to use.

Here's a Concept:

Ok! Since you're the one who's good with GUIs, anything I do as far as initial will be text only. You can refactor for GUI after. :D
Nice, this is my first 3DS Homebrew application. So, i'm kind of running blind, but eh....might as well give it a good shot. Since i do know C, and C# as well as C++.

Your concept -> install cia/fw -> under 1 button that's dangerous! (Yes i know it's a concept :P )
You should at least make that button CIA only and another button CFW

(Just giving you some ideas  )
Thanks for your Concern, of course it is a concept, and concepts change quite frequently. Although, it may be going in the Text UI way for the initial Release.

If I were you, I would try to personally get multiple developers on board. Making a tool good at one thing is already challenging, but... Making a took at least somewhat decent at everything is magnitudes more difficult (to do it correctly). I can easily see this taking months if you don't get external help.

@MarcusD is going to start helping as much as he can. But, if anyone else is interested in helping, please feel free to contact me. This project is Open-Source, so if you don't want to constantly help that's okay, just do a commit or two (Via GitHub).

But thanks for your Concern @fafaffy :)

EDIT:

Thanks @Aletron9000

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

i dont have an sd card adapter but I have an usb sd card adapter

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine
