Since nobody is telling anybody what this is, here's the first thing that came up on Google:

I have no idea what this entails for the Wii U, just putting the info out there because it exists. It could be completely unrelated or could be vital information, but it is what it is.
My only guess is this will allow us with some type of A9LH for the wii u. I could easily be wrong however since I'm not that familiar with the wii u at all

Yes, lets just wait a few years until there's only a 99% chance Nintendo won't release anymore new updates, THEN the WiiU scene can finally start releasing things! I'm sure it will be a thriving scene 3 years from now. Makes perfect sense to just keep holding on until Nintendo has fully moved away from the console.
Bu-but we can't have Nintendo patching it and we can't trust idiots to not upgrade and lose everything!

No, I think it's stupid to.

I love these types of threads.

I imagine boot1 gives us access to IOSU which in turn can give us homebrew like in the wii days but the functionality of the 3DS.

Meaning, we can have the Homebrew launcher on the home screen however this time around we can have games on the home screen but not as forwarders like the wii days.

Actually boot1 is completely unnecessary for IOSU, so..... Nope

You guys are like crack addicts waiting for your daily dose.
"give me IOSU, even though I don't even know what its real name is or what it actually does."
You know, when you are on the other side of things this type of stuff is always funny. You guys should fill the homebrew section with different brute force programs and attempt to brute force the key........lol
l-o-l
I'm already on it, what do you think we are, noobs? No, we're not I got this thing running and it should be no time till I have a key

You won't actually "see" anything that comes from this.
You will only be told what they figured out and possibly a few sha1 hashes that you cannot use for anything.

It used to be a place to announce new things to release for others to build cool things from. (cfw - emu - coldboots and others)
Now its just a conference for elitist coding hoarders to boast their ep33n at. (unfortunatly)
That's not exactly true, at 32c3 they revealed several new 3DS exploits and what did that end with? Working open source implementations of A9LH, ntrcardhax and memchunkhax2, that's what ;)
They revealed enough info so that homebrew devs knew where to look, that's all it takes.
