Oh ok that makes more sense now xD Do I move it or just copy it to it?
You need to have an arm9loaderhax.bin payload on the root of your SD Card. In this case it'll be BootAnim9's arm9loaderhax.bin payload file. You chainload into Luma, by placing Luma3DS' arm9loaderhax.bin inside the anim folder. You rename Luma3DS' arm9loaderhax.bin to arm9payload.bin.

Ok I put BootAnim9's arm9loaderhax.bin into the root of my SD card and moved the Luma3DS's arm9loaderhax.bin to /anim/ and renamed it "arm9payload.bin" now when I load up it doesnt do anything black screen.

Seems changing the root's arm9loaderhax.bin file makes my 3DS not load Luma.

What? Sounds to me like you copied and pasted the replaced BootAnim9 arm9loaderhax.bin into the anim folder. Are you sure you use Luma3DS' arm9loaderhax.bin from the .7z file?

The only other explanation would be you are using no-screen-init. However, you said the animation played, correct? So I don't think that's the problem here. Anyways, it works fine on my end, so something is going on your end. Check to make sure you have everything correctly.

Anyways, if you can't figure it out, download Luma3DS again.

And replace the arm9loaderhax.bin on your root with the one with Luma3DS and forget about this. I hope I don't sound rude and I apologize if I do, but I've provided you with the info on how to do this.

Let me confirm - I put the Luma /anim/arm9payload.bin into root then put the BootAnim9 .bin into root?

And btw - No nothing plays just a black screen and it never goes to the home menu (It never loads luma)

Wait, are you using v2 A9LH? If you are, I've heard reports that v2 A9LH breaks BootAnim9.

If you followed the guide pretty recently, then you are on v2 A9LH.

Edit: Incorrect info, misread OP's situation.

I boot up - Nothing just loads the Main Menu.
Reading over this again, it does seem like he does not actually have screen-init. As I interpreted this as him having gotten BootAnim9 to play it's animation correctly, but just not doing anything else.

However, this next posts, should have been an indicator that something was wrong with his v2 A9LH or that he had no-screen-init.

Anyways, OP, you'll have to look into setting up BootCTR9 into BootAnim9 into Luma3DS if you insist on staying on a no-screen-init A9LH fork. Otherwise, switch to the screen-init build of A9LH.

Did you use the pathchanger on Luma3DS?
I never messed with the folder anyway no.

No.
Did you install a screen init stage2?
Not that I know of - Can you explain to me how?

I just followed the exact steps on the thread in first post. Unsure which version I downloaded. Anyway to quickly re-install the screen-init version to make sure?

Anyone have any idea what im doing wrong? I have no idea which version (NO Screeninit or screeninit unsure) and I DEFINITELY didnt use Pathchanger.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

This is strange but - I have a folder 0 with a anim and config file in it and I have the Luma3DS arm9loaderhax.bin renamed "arm9payload.bin" in the anim folder and put the BootAnim9 bin in the root and then boot up my 3ds nothing happens black screen not backlit and only power light LED is on - But if I remove the 0 folder from /anim/ then boot up my 3ds can load but of course no animation :/ is there something im doing wrong?
