okay. but we won't give you the 1000-2000 $ necessary.
"Part # Item Price
73056 PARTNER-CTR DEBUGGER - $2,620
73058 PARTNER-CTR DEBUGGER/CAPTURE (Dual Functionality - $3,950
73065 Nintendo 3DS (Development only) “Panda” USA - $324
73066 Nintendo 3DS (Development only) “Panda” EU - $324
73067 Nintendo 3DS (Development only) “Panda” AUS - $324
73062 Flash Card, 16 Gbits (2 GBytes) CTR - $85
73063 Backup Memory, 1Mbit (128 KBytes) Flash CTR -$8.35
73064 Backup Memory, 4Mbits (512 KBytes) Flash CTR -$10.65"

The price for the Panda is probably outdated, since N3DSes are probably available now, but the others should be the same, even now.

What if instead of going through the trouble of trying to publish fake games that are exploits. You do something similar to gateway. Where you make a "homebrew" cartridge, and all it does is act as a primary entry point into the homebrew menu? (And it be sold at a nice price)
Unless this can't actually be done and I've just spouted nonsense. In which case please disregard this. :P

Then I'll buy it. Never said you had to :P

Are you actually dumb enough to not realise that Nintendo probably employ people to check this website and others out on a daily basis to see what is happening in the homebrew community well done not only was your idea a dumb one but you also just advertised it to Nintendo lol now stop with your continued dumb posts please.

Uhh... No, that can't be done. The "homebrew cartridge" you're talking about (the GW Blue card) was simply a DS linker that patched the MSET profile (and that exploit was patched for good in 6.0) :p

You seem like an quite alright fella so I'l try to make this as positively as I can make it.

You won't succeed with it.
Think about it, how many people have already tried this?
Nintendo isn't stupid, they also test the games.

Your best shot is to just download/purchase/pirate every single 3DS game there is, both retail and Eshop and test them for possible exploits.
Buffer overflows, to long name string etc.
I won't be as costly and it would be far wiser to do it.

Look for games where you can enter a character name, games which load pictures or music from the SD card, games with internet connectivity, QR abilities etc.
Smealum did it that way, plutoo, shinyquagshire etc as well.

dev kits can easily be $1000 to $4500. If your expecting to make an exploit game, Nintendo does check. Once the exploit is found your game would be taken down immediately. The ios homebrew scene is very, very different from the 3ds. It cost only $99 dollars to post apps on the app store, and little punishment to devs if they have emulators in them. Just stop, your idea is a waste of time and money if you make it happen. Just stop

The biggest problem is that you'll never be able to keep the game on eshop for a long time. One day nintendo will discover the entry point and remove your game until you patch it.

you should better become a developper and create real good games. That's a better use of their dev kit.

Ah, yeah. I guess you're all right. I would like to say one little thing. I never actually said I was gonna do this. it's an idea. A few users thought of it a bit to much :P I would say that most people in this thread have made civalized discussion, and thx for that! Just gonna point out that I was just bringing an idea to the plate in this constintly changing scene.

You're right. But please don't be mean to certain users :P Your threads are all help threads and nothing to bring to the community :P Atleast I am trying to bring some sort of idea (As dumb or as useless it can be.)

There's a difference between having an idea and not doing your homework.

this plan sounds batshit, i don't think it will work. it will be a lot of effort for little gain.

and doesn't nintendo have a certification process? i doubt they'd let you release games on multiple accounts.

Exactly before posting any idea you should research and gather all available information if Luglige had done that he would have quickly found out why this idea would never work. It only took me about 10 secs to Google the info why this would not work for instance

Well, there are a lot of bejeweled / candy crush clones that are just skin swapped, so if they just make minor cosmetic changes that is actually possible... lol

That's on top of becoming a developer of course...

What if we ask the oem (Kyoto Microcomputer) if they're willing to sell a group order to us? :)

That idea is definitely possible. What is impossible is to keep the entry point unknow from nintendo for ever.
