so,i just tried to play GBA game after installing it on sysnand SD card and emunand and it worked.
and just like the warning say,it's boot me to sysNAND everytime
any way to not to boot to sysnand after playing any GBA game?

also, after booting so sysnand i went to system settings and found it's "SysE 9.2.0.20U" ,weird.

maybe the only solution is to dump my emunand to sysnand?
It you are using a sysnand+emunand setup, it has to be forced into sysnand mode, otherwise, your save will be lost. You'll have to switch to a sysnand only environment if you don't want that.

Oh no! :(

I got a New 3ds with firmware 11.0.0-33E, because I thought that the latest firmware could be softmod hacked (I hadn't been following the scene for a few months).

I have:
  • A blue button sky3ds
  • An old 3ds with CFW
  • a New 3ds with firmware 11.0.0-33E that I want to install CFW on

Is there any way that I can softmod the new 3ds? And, if not, then how difficult is the hardmod soldering?

Thanks for any help!

Hardmod only. Sorry.

After you get that done, you move on to use this: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Hardmod-Downgrade

You'll still need a cartridge based hax entry point, you could use your Sky3DS blue button for that.

ok,so the only thing i should do is to inject my emunand to sysnand using Hourglass9?
anything else?

You also have to remove your EmuNAND from your SD Card, by way of EmuNAND9's "Format SD (no EmuNAND)" option.
You'll have to backup your SD Card, prior to doing the format, of course.

Okay... thanks for confirming it :'(

I guess I'll probably try it, although the hardmod seems pretty brutal and appear to need lots of specific parts. Does anyone offer / advertise downgrade services around here?

Since SafeA9lhinstaller 2.0 came out, I made a NAND without A9lh after losing it. My question is, can I restore my A9lh nand to get it back? Decrypt9 says
FIRM0 section2 hash mismatch
FIRM0 is corrupt (non critical) when I try to restore it. Is it still safe to restore it?
Update to the latest version of Decrypt9.

Do I have to install tickets for games AND their updates? Or tickets just for games are enough?
Just tickets for the game should be enough. If a game needs an update, and you download it, it should install the ticket of said update. I think.

I have a system that has been downgraded to 4.5 using "Gateway Downgrade". I'm looking to install A9LH on it, which of these options are the safest:
1. Wait for the Gateway A9LH
2. Downgrade to 2.1 and install.
3. Update to 9.2 using a cart then downgrade to 2.1
Try cleaning up your CTRNAND if you can.

Then follow Plailect's guide, I guess. :)

after the format,i should copy all files again to the SD card?
Of course, that's why we backed them up. :P Since we need them after the format. :)

Why of course~!
Here's a thread where you can find a list and try to reach out to one:

Okay, thanks a lot, I might contact one of them.

I was looking at the guide, and they recommend making a hole in the back of the 3ds through which you put the wires so that they can reach the adapter / connector. Is a permanent hole like that in the system necessary? Or is it possible to do it without making a hole in the back of the system?

Thanks again! It's funny, I've actually had communication with the only US provider of downgrade services once before, although just a little and for something unrelated to 3ds.

Not necessary, like you said, it's just a recommendation, that way you can access it again, if something happens. Some hardmodders also hide it under the battery cover, if that's what you want. Once I get mines sent out to be done, I'll go for ease of access like the charging port, think it looks beautiful if it's done just right. Instead of hiding it. :P But that's just me.

Edit: If the hardmodder you talk to, make sure to talk to them about where you want it to be located, and maybe ask for examples of their work of those locations, if they have some, to show.

I think I see what you mean, I looked at the work of vb_encryption_vb towards the end of the thread, and it looks very clean. I will message him to get a price, and price some components etc. to consider giving it a shot myself. Thanks again for all the tips!

Still no luck. 10.7.0-32U as previously mentioned. Using supermysterychunkhax to get into the Homebrew Launcher. Able to boot into it fine, opening PlaiSysUpdater v04 boots every time. Press Y to downgrade to 9.2.0. Gets stuck on HAX INIT. Files are definitely in the right places. Tried two different sources for the N3DS 9.2.0 firmware files and no luck

System was factory reset, and then after the SD card was separately formatted. Pulling out my hair here! Is it worth trying SafeSysUpdater rather than PlaiSysUpdater?

The following examples are EUR examples only and may not work for you, on a USA system, but doesn't hurt to try them

Same results  Had already tried one of those earlier. Guess I'm just gonna keep trying and pray some miracle happens

Edit: I guess I'll ask while I'm already at it. Are my chances of using a different hax any better? Perhaps OoT3DHax instead? I did use supermysterychunkhax in the past to downgrade a 9.9 N3DSXL successfully, but I've literally had zero luck with this 3DS. Does OoT3DHax work on my firmware?

Yeah oot3dhax has a higher chance of success. Use that if you can.
