Hey, I'm having installs fail at 99.99% completion. Is there any particular reason this might be happening? I was perfectly able to install stuff via fbi.

Genre sorting might be tough... does the eShop have any genres assigned?

I still have some fixes to do, it's too unstable atm. It crashes enough already, no need to release a worse build.

Here's an update video:

Yeah, I'll just be using the genres from eshop.

The problem is that the genre list is different among regions (especially Japanese obviously). For example, JP has 18 genres listed, and US has 26, and not all of them are direct translations. Not sure how to handle that yet. For starters, I'll just list them all, and just try to make sure there are no duplicates with the US/EU genre mixture (they're mostly the same I think).

Have a few options in the search area, and require region to be inputted, with other things like genre having an All option?

When I try to download any title, it fails every time. It will say "added to queue" and then almost instantly after it says "failed".

sorry if this has been asked before but has it ever been explained why some apps(usually JP region) has an X icon as their logo?

It means the icon is missing from cache. I think eshop doesn't provide icons for some titles (perhaps ones they discontinue?), but there also may be some revisions I need to make to the cache script, maybe I'm not looking at all the right places for the icon.

Has the issue when games fail to install been fixed?

This happens when the 3ds is left to idle to process the queue. (possible coincides with screen going black after 30s)

The solution to that is unknown, and definitely not related to turning off the screen lights. I'm guessing a general internet issue (e.g. 3ds connection briefly cutting out). This probably won't be fixed in this next update. I'll be working on download/install stability afterward.

Sure is... and poor devs get hit with the charge backs

Except he said the DEVS get hits with the chargeback cost

since the key gets bought with a stolen credit card

there's nothing to charge back because the keys don't cost them money to generate in the first place

If the game has a crack sure
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Most these crack sites have dead links anymore or the crack don't even work
  • linuxares @ linuxares:
@The Real Jdbye What don't you get? If someone use a stolen creditcard. Then sell said key on G2A. If I the dev sold the game key, I will get the charge back cost. That's how it works, it doesn't matter if I generate 300 keys if 300 of them are bought with stolen credit cards. I never said it was on Steam, but its the dev that gets hit. There is a ton of stories out there if you google it.
