Hacking How to boot RXMODE SysNAND without L button?

I'm helping a friend of mine install RxTools on his 3DS. His L/R triggers are out so we had to switch his menuhax to the x button. Is there a way to boot RXMODE SysNAND without using the L button?

Why install rxTools when you can download something like Luma3DS?

To add on for anyone else replying to this, they're at a screen that says "emuNAND not found (we haven't installed it yet, getting to that step)" Press A to boot SysNAND. That's not the same thing, correct? JUst trying to get into RXMode SysNAND unless it IS the same thing. I use a different CFW which is why I'm confused.

It is the same! Btw, luma3DS uses SELECT and you can change between sysnand and emunand there.

I'll probably have them use Luma3DS on their other 3DS (they're using an old one because they were worried about the risk lol). Thank you though. Now we can continue.

Like I said, we were already pretty far in with doing RxTools and they were new to hacking so I don't just want to say "let's drop this progress and start over with a new CFW"

you should...
rxtools have the most outdated stuff, can't even support iirc 10.7 and up w/o some keys

Actually, it does work up to 11.0.0-33, however, with that being said. It's extremely buggy and quite honestly, people should move away from it sooner, rather than later, because a future update can and will break rxTools.

But if you don't mind using it, and don't mind waiting until that said update comes, go for it! No one is stopping you, just don't be surprised when it breaks.

Also, duke_srg's fork of rxTools, is only focusing on the Tools side of things, so still will suffer the same fate, and duke_srg is currently not planning on working on the CFW side of things at all.

If rxTools takes 3 hours to troubleshoot and Luma takes 30 minutes to set up, and you are 2 hours into setting up rxTools - it is still more time-efficient to scrap it and use Luma.

I'd definitely use Luma over rx any day, but even if your reply is a joke, that is pretty fucking crude. RxTools' problem that the owner has some broken buttons...if Select was broken, you'd be in the same situation with Luma..sheesh..

ok, here's maybe the first answer - you will probably have to edit it and build it yourself, but at least it is possible because it is open source.

Not at all, Luma3DS source is readable unlike rxTools source
