can someone explain the A9LH structure? I kinda want to set up a bootloader but I'm so confused, however below is what I seem to understand...

Code:
System Boot -> A9LH begins -> loads arm9loaderhax.bin -> launches whatever that says to launch

So if the boot manager IS arm9loaderhax.bin in this case, it in turn looks for something else to launch like so
Code:
System Boot -> A9LH begins -> loads arm9loaderhax.bin (boot manager) -> default   -> load option 1
If (button pressed 1) -> load option 2
If (button pressed 2) -> load option 3
...and so on

and for Luma3DS you have to use the path editor to make sure it understands where Luma is located? does this work with the new Gateway arm9loaderhax.bin?

But when your EmuNAND is bricked and you have an old EmuNAND backup, how do you restore your EmuNAND backup?
EmuNAND9, Decrypt9, Hourglass9 are all tools you can run on the console to dump, restore, and edit a RedNAND. if you follow Plailect's guide, you'll be using updated SysNAND instead with arm9loaderhax, where you can use these at console boot to fix most bricks.

So I tried to run Smashax, created a USB drive with Ubuntu. I selected the option to try Linux without installing. When I ran Smashax.sh, it opened a text document saying I probably did something wrong.

Anyone know why? Do I have to fully install Ubuntu? The guide doesn't mention that. Just says "run" it. :(

to be honest I didn't properly test it with Ubuntu 14.04. it's just 15.04 went down and I can't find any other good mirrors, and someone told me 14.04 works, so I linked it to that. my plan is to try fixing it up a bit later today, so try waiting a bit?

Will do, thank you for the quick response!

I have my 2DS on the latest firmware. Can I downgrade it to 2.1.0 by having a nand backup of 9.2?

how do I put a 3DS XL Emunand onto a 2DS meaning skip all the BS and just restore my emunand on the 2ds ...

reason why I want to do that cause after downgrading them 9.2 Emunand fails to do a thing on one and the other starts the process then oddly errors -_- never had this issue on my 3DS seems these new tutorials with updated files are just a pain ..

Sorry to double post, I don't know the difference but can I use this? Or are we looking for something different?

I've been following this guide to install rxTool and got stuck on Step 7. For some reason the Icon for health & safety doesn't show up for me neither before or after installing. I can reinject the normal health & safety and it works fine, but if I try to replace/inject the big blue menu it tells me I need to redownload it from the e-shop and after reboot the space it blank again

edit: recreating the thing to inject the big blue menu did not help and results in the same thing.

oh thanks for showing me this page, I wasn't aware of this. you should try one of the desktop images here.

Yeah, still getting the same error. "If you're reading this, you probably did something wrong.".. Do I need to install it or can I just run it without installing? Also in the video it shows up as UbuntuMate, mine is just Ubuntu.

I was in the process of setting up arm9loaderhax and messed up after getting my OTP.bin file. I must have labeled my backup sysNAND wrong, but when I went to restore my sysnand from 2.1 to 9.2, I was left on 11.0 sysnand. My question is if I get freakyforms deluxe, will I be able to reflash with the correct sysnand file?

no you need a hard mod if on 11.0 and you want to restore a NAND dump

you shouldn't need to install it. normal ubuntu should work fine, but I guess there's still a few differences...

Any other suggestions on what I can do to get this working? If I can't, is it possible for me to downgrade from 10.7 to 9 to use browserhax or menuhax instead?
