I've run into a dead end. I can no longer run any form of homebrew longer on my old 3ds
nor my n3dsxl.

o3ds: 10.7, no a9lh
n3dsxl: 11.0, no a9lh

My main entrypoint for my n3dsxl up until recently had been oothax, which i installed via browserhax.
However, the 11.0 firmware patched oothax, which I did not realise.
Smea is fixing oothax and cubic ninja (I hope), but I'm wondering if there's anything I could do
instead of waiting around?

This is a list of all my exploit-able titles:

-Oot3d (cartridge)
-VVVVV (o3ds)
-SSB3ds (n3dsxl, but won't work because of update)

..as you can see, these are all secondary entrypoints.
so, my n3dsxl is not the way to go. What I have tried however, is getting
OotHax to work on my o3ds, since I've been using it before.
But when I try to boot hbl, it says "searching for target",
then "homemenu ropbin found" and then sends me straight back to the home menu.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)
Thanks in advance

If you have updated SSB 4, you can delete the update.

Interesting! Though, how would I do this?
Also, if the update came out before a couple of months ago, I'm SOL, because I haven't had the game before that point.
I have updated it a few times, though.
You can delete updates into system settings ( data management -> Nintendo 3ds -> Extra Data).

do you have digital or retail SSB4? if retail, it might work if it's 1.0.0 with no update data(won't display version on title screen).

If you can get a copy of Freakyforms, you could always try out the new Freakyhax - that could act as a primary exploit for either of your consoles, to my knowledge.

My o3ds has a nnid linked to freakyforms -- the original. Non deluxe.
I have to wait for plutoo to port it over :P

SUCCESS!
Smash is on 1.0.1 now..
I had to delete some other thing which took up 3000 blocks.

Alright, another question.
I can now (hopefully) get homebrew running again. The most logical thing to do now is install
v*hax, BUT, that game is installed on my o3ds.
If I do a system transfer to my n3dsxl, I'll lose super smash bros. I can't redownload, since it isn't linked to an NNID.
What now?

...... Buy Freakyforms! XD
Ahem... Indeed, if you perform a system transfer from the old 3ds to the new 3ds, you will lose smash bros... I hate digital games!!
Seriously, buy freakyforms deluxe NOW!!! (so, before it costs 50$ ^^)

Buy the cartridge version! Digital games sucks! ;-p

I would, if only I didn't live 50km from the nearest toy store x_x
Definitely over 100km to a dedicated game store.
Norway, y'know?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Actually, I'm checking google maps. The nearest GameStop is 430 kilometres.
Yeeeeaah.

With Norway's landscape, it's almost a three hour drive.

Edit: Didn't realize your game was digital. You actually have a chance.

You're not a newcomer, and I assume you know the hacking scene so why would you even think of updating your 3ds without any cfw? Any updates with nintendo is meant to shutdown any hacks. Let this be a lesson to you and other noobs. Don't update. Smh

Not a newcomer?
Two weeks ago I didn't even know what CFW meant, tbh. I'm very new to this scene, and I only understood all of the essential information
after I had updated to the latest firmware :S.

While I knew it would be wise to not update, I still did, because I wanted to play online on smash bros and have eshop access. And like I said, I was unaware that
downgrading and hax were patched in the update.

So yeah, now I'm hoping for a second chance.
