Just recently followed Plailect's guide and modded my 3DS. Tested out freeShop and Yo-kai Watch finished installing and there's an update on it. My question is, is it safe to update it? Or is it generally unsafe to update games?
Running my 3DS on Luma3DS with 11.0.0.33U if that matters.

This application serves only if you have installed a CFW. It does not work with .3ds files only .cia files.
If I'm going to have installed Rxtool you will be able to use the sky3ds and this application at the same time.
Note: Your 3ds have to have a Synand that lets you run some CFW.

as far as I know last time I tried I could use cubic ninja on the sky3ds to load homemenu which would allow me to use FBI to install a CIA right ?
So if I am not mistaken I should be able to install that freeshop, but when installed can this programm install files on my system or wouldn't it work ?

You need to downgrade and setup CFW to install and use this

Follow this until Part 4 Step 17 and you'll be able to install it. Read through before beginning. Recommended to continue to the end but you don't have to.

I had some problems using freeShop 1.1:

- When I'm downloading games or/and have games in queue, and I try to load description of other games, the program freeze and close.
- I can't find many games that are found and downloadable in CIAngel....

Something strange happened today: Suddenly the freeShop didn't show any games on the top screen, as if the encTitleKeys.bin file was missing, although it was there. After deleting the config.json file in the freeShop folder, the games showed up again.

If you use a CFW with region free yes, you can (almost all).

Not exactly. If you use your own titlekeys, the games still won't show up unless the game is also contained on the 3ds titlekey website. This is because it's using a cache pre-fetched with all the info/icons, it doesn't currently fetch the metadata live.

I will add the ability for it to work with any encTitleKeys.bin, but it will take a few seconds per title to fetch all the necessary info. That would happen only once during launch.
