If it's enabled, it increases or decreases your brightness based on the surrounding light level, and that causes regular variations of the brightness, which matches what you described. So it will probably be "fixed" just by disabling the option.

There are two versions on a certain site that has something to do with ISOs or something like that. ;)
Thank yoU-

So, I can't access the E-shop ever since I installed A9LH + AuReiNand on my 3DS, sysnand 11.0. From what I understand, that's because I need to format my 3DS and re-sync it with my NNID account. However, I've been hesitant to do this since I don't know the exact steps I should follow and the possible repercussions it might have. With that in mind, I have a few questions:

-Should I use the system's native format option or something like TinyFormat?
-Will it screw with my A9HL+Aureinand setup (like, erase it or something), possibly forcing me to reinstall them all over again?
-Can I still keep all of my stuff? (saves, dlcs, games, etc)

If someone could do (or link me to) a step-by-step instruction on how to do it I'd greatly appreciate it.

Yes, error 022-2634.
Backup the nand your using (I assume sysnand as u have a9lh and luma). Backup the Nintendo 3ds folder. Go into settings and tell it to format. After the format it done run through the setup and log in with your nnid. After that restore the Nintendo 3ds folder and the nand. You should now be able to use the eshop just fine. Also all your stuff should be there.

Install the CIAs like normal. Put the retroarch folder on the root of your sd card. Simple :D

Thanks, I'll try doing that. Just a quick question though, how do I restore the Nand after having formated the system?

So, if you press Select while booting, you don't get to Luma3DS settings? Just making sure. Sorry to hear that though. :(

Sorry went to sleep as i said...
Tried going to luma by pressing select on bootup.. nothing.
Is there anything i can do now, with the setup i have got?
I have my otp file. All the backups made while following the guide and theoretically rednand still installed with firmware 11....

Is there even a possibility to backup without keeping a9lh? A i said i am not really sure what went wrong... This happens if you try to do this stuff after work until night...[/QUOTE]

Some more A9LH questions:

I have Luma now, should I update emunand before the OTP part?

Where are the secureinfo_a files?

I put the firmware.bin in the luma folder, not in the payload one, right?

1. Just follow the guide at this point if you're getting your OTP

2. Sorry don't know what that is or it's purpose

3. You only need firmware.bin if you're using NTR otherwise it's a waste of space. If you're using it, copy it to your luma folder.

I and Hayato warned him not to, but he won't listen

    @BigOnYa,
I don't listen? What didn't I listen at? I just want to know all the possible risks on that part
  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
Hayato even said it's dangerous to backup the save files to CFW
  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
how is this dangerous? A ton of people did this it's the most common thing to do with CFW
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    Then do it

    dude, whatever
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Not trying to hate, I tried to help you in the switch noob thread by asking for you, but you don't want to accept the answers you got, so do whatever then.

@BigOnYa, Man, first of all thanks for your willing to help, much appreciated. But, it's not that I "don't want to listen", rather than I need soemone to EXPLAIN to me how and why all these are risky.

  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
For example, HOW is is risky to get banned if you extract the save files to the CFW?
  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
isn't this proccess be done while you're offline?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
We are not Nintendo, so we don't know exactly how/why/when they ban, but better to stay on the safe side and not do shady stuff, if you don't want to be banned. Hayato is one of the most knowledgeable ones here on the subject and I believe what he says.

  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
@BigOnYa, Yes ofc we don't know how Nintendo bans work, but if there are situations where a lot of people have tried safely then we can at least assume that this path is pretty much safe. To say don't try anything homebrew relative just to be safe forever is the easiest thing to say to someone. What I am trying to figure out here is with which cases and what actions got most of the people their bans for.
  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
Most things I can find resulting to a ban is save-editing reasons, like Pokehex, etc, and going online afterwards.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I'm almost certain fucking Google fibers modems blocking out PPPoE signals
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Like the 6th time I had to reboot this router trying to get PPPoE active
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Ken, your hamster inside it is hungry. Can't you turn POE on/off in your WiFi settings page? Or is it not staying on?

  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
@BigOnYa, Well, in that thread they say it's pretty much safe to manage save files back and forth to consoles as long as you don't go online with cheats activated or with a pirate game.
  • A @ ATEMVEGETA:
I own every of my games legit with their own cartridges

also, I'm not planning to use any cheats, etc, just continue the normal gameplay on the emulator
