So I searched for a while, but couldn't find an answer. Is it possible to convert NDS homebrew to something like DSiWare that we could install on the 3ds?

Sort of. You can use sudokuhax to run hbmenu (or you can use this: https://gbatemp.net/threads/dsi-homebrew-menu-directly-on-your-home-menu.416791/ ) and from there you can run NDS homebrew, but DLDI won't work so anything that needs filesystem access can't be used. There might be other limitations as well, for example I think there is a filesize limit.

source code and software you need:
https://github.com/ahezard/nds-hb-menu/releases

and to top it off: the dldi patch you need:
https://github.com/ahezard/dldi4dsisd/releases

don't ask me how the process works, I'm no dev, I've tried myself, and failed, but it can be done.
Sweet, I didn't know there was a DLDI driver for DSiWare now :D
Sunshell does everything Moonshell did (possibly even better), just for the love of god don't install it as a CIA
Why not install it as CIA?

The CIA version is noted to be riddled with bugs compared to 3dsx and whatever other formats it's available in

For me the CIA version has a diagonal black flickering line across the screen as if someone rammed a knife into my 3DS's LCD. Works fine otherwise but it's very distracting and defeats the purpose of Sunshell if you're trying to watch/read something. 3dsx version is flawless for me. Bit of a shame since CIAs are my preferred format but oh well

Well, it seems that the DLDI implementation still needs to be worked on. At least I got moonshell booting!

Please don't use clickbaity titles like this. And for now, unless you have a flash card, the answer is going to be no.

The answer wasn't no. I have NDS homebrew working on the 3DS with no NDS flashcard. Maybe you should read the thread before posting next time?

No, you don't. You have DSI homebrew. They are two different things. Why don't you check your facts before accusing people? Like I said, currently the only way to run .nds files on a 3DS is with a flashcard.

You can boot normal NDS homebrew on the 3DS. I don't see why this is hard to grasp. It's not perfect, but it works.

No. Just no. DSI homebrew is in SRL format, which is different from NDS or whatever format DS homebrew uses. The DSI homebrew menu can't launch DS homebrew. Your probably confusing a homebrew as being a DSI homebrew instead of DS.

The Launcher boots normal NDS homebrew roms. I don't see how else I could explain it. Maybe it does some magical patching in real time to get them to work, but it works.

MegaETK is DS homebrew, and it runs from DSi hbmenu. Sandbox Engine is DS/DSi hybrid homebrew, and it also runs from DSi hbmenu. I even converted some homebrew to DSiWare.

Wow... I've never heard of this before. So will this let me install CIAs of Mario Kart DS and all my other DS games?
