Yes. Download and install the latest nightly.
Then follow the guide from where you left off.

Edit: lol way to be salty, just cause you couldnt get something to work.

Sorry for some reason I thought you were installing A9LH, hence why I said guide.
Installing IS simply putting the files on SD. You launch from HBL... and run the config by holding Select at boot.

This is such a long process I'm mentally exhausted -.- Ok so after I have Luma on there how do I install games... Do I then need to install a CIA installer..

Is A9LH like a must have... that's supposed to be really hard and this was already stressful enough I'm trying to avoid it if i can

You need a CFW in order to play the cia that you get from that "Iso site" since there's no good ones. It's not hard to google, maybe you could add a certain keyword, maybe the device you are holding. Launch Decrypt9 from Homebrew and inject the FBI.App (I'll PM you the app) to Emunand. Now you can install your CIAs. I suggest doing ARM9 before installing games

Yeppers. Download latest FBI, put in 3DS folder of SD, boot from HBL. Use that to install CIAs. Do you have emuNAND setup already?
As suggested.. I would look up installing A9LH before going through the time/process of installing games.
Though you can always transfer those games and emuNAND over, itll just increase how long that takes.

You guys can't even help someone without argueing over what the "best" method is. Goddamn guys, all it takes is reinstalling the ninjhax exploit for the version he downgraded to, setup homemenuhax, and setting up a cfw with cia installer.

Can you guys not keep it that fucking simple for someone who is new to 3ds modding?

@based05 if you haven't done so already you should install homemenuhax. The installer comes packaged with the starter kit you should have gotten with the homebrew launcher. You have your choices of cfw. I recommend either rxtools or luma. Each are setup differently so you should start a 'ask' topic specificly for "setting up (cfw of your choice) emunand to auto launch via homemenuhax". (To avoid this bullshit), also ask how to modify the payload to rename the cfw launcher to something other then boot.3dsx.

Once you have cfw setup, use the the homebrew launcher version of fbi installer to install the cia version of fbi. That will put the cia installer in your homemenu. Use that to install any games or software.

Still doesnt mean you can't brick your system, anything can happen, corrupt nand, bad downgrade, power failure during a vital point. Holding the recovery buttons on a N3ds with a sysnand of 2.1.
