Sorry, I'm still kinda new to CFW protocols, so what is the course of action to update a CFW, if it's possible at all?

Depending of what you are currently using, that is.

I'm pretty sure it's AuReiNAND, I followed Plialect's guide. It's on 10.7 right now.

Just update to latest Luma version (was Aureinand).

Simply replace the payload file.
