Hello all! I have a 2DS installed with A9LH + AuReiNand

From my understanding of A9LH, it basically switches emunand to sysnand and vice versa (hence the 100% boot and faster boot rate)

My emunand is on version 10.7 and there was a system update (11.0) out so I updated it to just stay up to date, but to my surprise, the version of the software is still 10.7

I have already tried the obvious option
1) Turn it off and re-do the update process
But I'm still getting no dice

Surprisingly, my N3DS :yay3ds: can update to 11.0 so I'm not sure what's happening lol

Any help/thoughts would be very appreciated :D

Perhaps boot emunand into safe mode? It won't effect your sysnand since it's emunand so it's worth a try.

Thanks for the tip! I actually fixed it already, I just updated it to 11.0 after like a thousand tries lol, but I'm still wondering what caused it to not update in the beginning

It could also just be a communication error with the server. It happens a lot, even without CFW installed people regularly have to try updates more than once.

Check your SysNAND firm as well.

How would I go about doing that? I'm not a noob or anything, but I'm also not experienced with A9LH, I came from rxtools

Ahh, maybe this? Since it's the only thing that makes sense right now lol

What's your current CFW? Luma3DS/AuReiNAND lets you go into the system settings and view what firm you are on. It will say Sys 10.7/11.0 if that's your SystemNAND or most likely Emu for emuNAND.

hmm.. mine says sys for some reason instead of emu, but I thought A9LH switched emu to sys? or is emu now sys or I'm totally wrong xD

Probably you had some bad titles on your emunand like a patched agb or twl firm. Glad to hear you sorted thing out :)

Oh maybe! I had an older browser installed for QR purposes, if that would cause a complication for updating?

Did you follow the A9LH guide all the way through? Then you don't have emuNAND and only sysNAND.

A9LH installation eventually has you flash your emunand over to become your new sysNAND.
This sysNAND is patched, and as long as you configured Luma/Aurei properly in the end, you will only use this updated sysNAND.
UNLESS you decide you still want emuNAND for some reason, which is an option.
But sounds like youre rockin the updated sys. Which is safe to update, just like emuNAND was.

So you only have SysNAND, no emuNAND.

I guess so?

Thanks for clearing it up for me :)
