NNU patcher for The Homebrew Launcher
Nintendo eShop Update Patcher

What is NNU patcher?

nnu-patcher allows you to start the Nintendo eShop on a lower firmware, if you have your firmware spoofed to the latest one available. This NNU patcher was created for The Homebrew Launcher. It is much more stable and allows you to start/exit eShop as you like.

How do I use it?

Run nnupatcher from Homebrew Launcher. It should automatically redirect you to the home menu. That's it, you can now use the eShop. You should use Tubehax DNS and be spoofed to the latest firmware available for this to work (5.5.1 as of now). To uninstall, just reboot the console or start Mii Maker, it will return you to The Homebrew Launcher and restore the patches it made.

Tested on 5.4-5.5.1, all other firmwares are untested! Adding firmware support is pretty much just a matter of using the correct scrambled C++ function name though.

Download

You can download nnupatcher here: https://github.com/dibas/nnupatcher-hbl/releases/tag/0.1
The source code is also available for anyone interested in how it works.

Is it also possible to update my disc games using nnu patcher? Or how can I download an update for a disc game with tubehax activated?

Unfortunately no, you cannot download game updates with this, just the actual game. You'd have to install game updates with WUPInstaller.

@jon2491 I was wondering the same.

And will we still be save or is it possible that we download a firmware update with nnupatcher active?

Hey guys,

Why can we access eShop using this + tubehax? Does that program skip some urls? I don't get it.
It patches the function called by the eShop application at start to check for updates. That's pretty much it.

No idea. You should be safe as long as you're using tubehax dns addresses though.

works for 5.5.1 too :) tested
Thanks, I included that in the description!

@dibas... I know it's easily confused with the Wii, but it's The Homebrew Launcher. There's several times you referred to it as The Homebrew Channel.

That aside, great work!
