Are there any additional things you have to do if you want to change from one CFW to another?

Edit: Am using emuNAND.

Last edited by Hozu,
If i wanted to change my memory card. Do I need to redo the whole process

If you're using a9lh with updated sysnand, you only need to copy the whole old sd card into the new one.
If you are using an emunand, you need to dump your emunand with emunand9.
Unmount your SD.
Insert the new one.
Format the new SD to create a new emunand.
Unmount the SD.
Paste the dumped emunand into the new SD and insert it.
Click restore emunand from file.
After that you can turn off your 3ds and paste your old SD backup into the new one (and delete the dumped emunand from the new SD card if you want)

I've updated my Emunand to 11.0. If I want to install a9lh do I need to downgrade it to 10.7 again or will I be fine with my 11.0 Emunand? Also, I can't boot into the homebrew launcher ever since I switched to Luma3DS my CTRBOOTMANAGER doesn't show up anymore and launching the homebrew launcher cia just reboots the system..

So now I'm on A9LH and Luma, how can I run DS roms using the bluecard?

Just download the right files from the gateway website and put them on the micro sd card of the blue card. Then plug it in and launch it. The 3ds may not recognise it instantly (at least my n3ds has some issues with it) so just eject the card, optionally blow carefully into the slot and re-enter the card again.

Cheers, I'll give it a go!

Is there any way to disable updates via a DNS setup and at the same time download eshop games via sleep mode? I ask because I got several humble bundle games but after the 11.0 update. My O3DS XL is on 10.7 unhacked. I redeemed the codes via nintendo's online eshop site without my 3DS. I don't want to update and go on the eshop.

I'm having some issues over here with my boot configuration. I am using CTRBootManager and so far have two entries: Luma3DS (boots perfect) and the Homebrew Launcher. The CTRBootManager obviously uses the boot.3dsx in the root of my SD card. I set the HBL to bhbl.3dsx. It boots the HBL just fine when I am using the boot manager. But here's where the issue arrives. I can't access the HBL on my EmuNAND using the Homebrew Launcher CIA because that just reboots my system to the CTRBootManager (because that one uses the boot.3dsx instead of the expected boot.3dsx from the HBL). I can boot into the HBL obviously selecting the HBL in the boot menu. After I boot into the HBL I get the list with all my Homebrew ofcourse. Here's another issue: trying to boot Decrypt9 just reboots my system to the boot manager. EmuNAND9 does the same thing, where CHMM2 and FBI are booting just fine. I want to make a backup of my sys/emunand and I can't access the programs. Can someone help me? Please :(

so...is there an issue here or did I miss something?

use these from SysNAND. you should add the .dat versions (Decrypt9WIP.dat, EmuNAND9.dat) to CTRBootManager, and use them from there. they have a better bootrate.

So I've been out of the loop for Homebrew, I heard it's now possible to use DLC with HANS.

Is there any limitations to this (ie cannot patch DLC along with the game)?

Does anyone have the a9lh version of CakesFW? I just prefer it over Luma 3DS.
you can take the latest release of CakesFW, and use this:
Code:
dd if=Cakes.dat of=arm9loaderhax.bin bs=512 skip=144
....or remove the first 0x12000 bytes of Cakes.dat and name it arm9loaderhax.bin
