Wait, for Sm4shExplorer, do I need the dt and ls files from my game dump, or the update?

From your Game Dump. They need to be in the update folder.

Thanks for all your help guys, but I think I'm done for now. I literally cannot use Python on my laptop and I don't have the money to get a new PC. I'm at a wall and I don't have what I need to get over it.

I need some help. I'm trying to add more character skin slots by editing the "ui_character_db.bin" file, but everytime I put anything into the "data/param/ui" nothing changes to the game. Anyone have a fix?

I'm sorry to hear it man. I'm sure that someone will make a good dedicated program for this stuff fairly soon that will handle all the leg work like Brawlbox did for Brawl. I wasn't able to mod back in Brawl's infancy days, but I'm sure it was equally a pain in the ass to mod at first too.

Once I put them in the content folder, do I just drag the whole update into my game dump?

Nah, you just need to put them in the content folder. Nothing to do w/ anything in the game dump anymore. Don't erase it though. You can now use Sm4sh Explorer, but open the update folder ofc.

Sorry to hear man, don't disappear from the scene though. You never know what may come up.

That's good to hear. By that time there will probably be loads of skins and sounds and songs and stages to download and have fun with. Thanks for the reassurance.

Now, I have a question for myself as well. How would you change the voices of characters? I have all the files ready, and I know they need to be injected into the nus3bank while being ISDP files as well. The thing is, how do I convert .wav files into IDSP? How do I know which voice/sound is which?

Anyone figure out how to go about adding more music slots, as opposed to replacing them?

I've been looking to doing that as well, after I saw that one video with this guy adding more than 1,000 songs to sm4sh. No idea how he did it though, and not sure if he'd show how to do it.

I see you were asking this on Gamebanana as well :creep:

There's an issue for me after converting things in the ui/replace/chr folders, and opening them in Photoshop, they don't look like anything, but when I open them in Windows Texture Viewer, they're fine aside from the colors being off. Is there any way to fix this at the moment, or do I have to wait? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have the exact problem. Tried different formats and nothing worked but csp work fine.

I'll be back. Just a little disheartened and need a break from trying for now. I'll probably stick around the forums in case something comes up.

Yeah, seems like the best thing to do. If anything, just go for Loadiine and stuff. There are a ton of things you can still do.
