A9LH Updated SysNAND works. Cver was updated, NVer was updated, Native Firm was update, and the friends module was updated. I can't confirm whether or not the kernel exploit still works though

Does not updating Native Firm still allow online/eshop access for updated sysNAND users?

Probably once you update payloads. Wait to update though, because smealum needs to build payloads for the new NFirm
Ah cool. I might as well update anyway. Not missing too much with not being able to access homebrew for a bit. Hurrah powersaves.

The FIRM0/FIRM1 partitions aren't updated, but the .app in CTRNAND is. Luma uses that. Luckily for everyone they didn't update the FIRM version and its requirement in all modules/apps as they used to do with security patches, so people with CFWs using firmware bins from SD are OK with the old firm.

What is the prognosis for when Nintendo does update the FIRM version and its requirement in all modules/apps?

Hold on a second! I thought Luma generates proper firmware.bin files to run properly: Are you saying it's actually still possible for Nintendo to break Luma with a firmware update?
