More near(er) than ever before. Sounds like another month. This is like groundhog day and the only thing on TV are telethon.

Well ofcourse thats how its gonna go. Whats the point of even buying a GW card if you dont need to use it?

Yeah I don't think they're going to be as generous as they were with downgrading to 4.5 (a9lh modding could be a huge cottage industry at their expense). But I hope at least they'll allow for it to be uninstalled though so the 3ds's life isn't tied to the card working/not being lost.

edit: maybe they could also just hold back sig check patching if the red cart isn't in the slot. That would make the most sense.

They will make it compatible by releasing an a9lh compatible .bin file. If they make the a9lh install bind to the card that'd be an instant death to there business....

I get the feeling that their A9LH .bin file is going to be like their .3dsx file, simply a way to load Launcher.dat; either that or just a rewritten Launcher.dat. Regardless of their implementation, I highly doubt that they'll prevent booting the 3DS without the GW Red card. It'll simply be just like it currently is, sig checks are patched only if the GW Red card is inserted when loading GW Mode.

Huh, I never thought of that. Well I wouldn't say you need the GW to be in the system for it to boot, but probably you wouldn't be able to do anything desirable that you normally can't do without the GW card.

If it offers a compatible .bin a boot manager would work fine with it. Or you could launch it with luma 3ds chainloader to easily load gateway as a secondary option. (I hope)
