Try it? I've been wrestling with my o3DS, and I'm hoping that a format took care of the frustrations that I was having.

Works with all firmwares - just be careful to use the right files/package in your downgrade.

I followed everything and whilst downgrading my N3DS gave the "an error has occured screen".
I turned the device off (since nothing else was to be done) and now it won't boot. Soft-bricked amirite? How do I unbrick it (if that's even possible)?

EDIT: I can enter recoverymode but I'd like to avoid this. This is the only way right?

Is there any way to change your internet settings in recoverymode? I've still got the update-blocking dns enabled...

Edit 2: Nevermind. Taking out the MicroSDHC and removing the battery seemed to fix the issue AND ITS ON 9.2 HOLY FRICK IM HAPPY

the "install" folder seems to make the 3ds not boot. Advice would be highly appreciated . Am currently working on getting a new one.

Hi, I advice you to use Downgrade check, so that you could check whether it was a complete downgrade or not. If you're on Frankenfirmware, you must run sysUpdater again.

Reporting repeated successful downgrades on an O3DS from 10.7.0-32U to 9.2.0-20U. SD Card formatted, System Memory not.

(And more redowngrades may be in my future depending on how I need to get around Oot3dHax eating up all my game card's save slots)

Yes, it is possible IF His Super Mystery Dungeon is a Cart Version.
Put his cart into your 3DS, start the sploit installer, and instead of selecting your version, select his instead. There you go.

So, with the japanese version of the new 3ds xl (LL over there) is the only difference I have to delete that one CIA file? Or are their other differences, or other things that wont be compatible, or more steps i will need to take?

Im trying to buy one and a blue japanese one is the only IPS screen one i can find with 9.2 version :C

Has anyone actually had a successful downgrade with supermysterychunkhax on a N3DS on 10.7? I must have tried 100 times and it is literally having none of it, all i get is Hax Init (with plailect, and black screen with other 10.7 sysupdater) and thats it every single time!

Yeah man, tried the one from this guide, it just hangs on a black screen every time and I tried ALOT of times!

Sorry to double post, but just picked up a copy of Ocarina of Time and downgraded first attempt, so it's definitely an issue with Super Mystery Dungeon!

Yeah, I think it was an issue as well. I had a n3DS XL refuse to boot into hbl with PSMD - constantly blinking and throwing an error. I ended up using my copy of OoT and doing that quickly and quietly...

This happened to me, but i ended up updating to the latest firmware, but ive gone and bought Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon, so i can do it on 10.7

Downgrading is possible on 10.7.

Oot3dHax's payload is version-specific. Once you downgrade, you need the payload for the downgraded firmware instead of for the original firmware. It's a good idea to have a second entrypoint for the downgrade process if your regular entrypoint is OoT3D.
