Well shit how are we suppose to know when updated versions of WUP installer are released? Its not like the dev added this on github.

Can someone confirm that the latest update for :

● super smash bros
● Mario Maker
● spaltoon

It updatable in the spoofed 5.4.0 consol and working online without any problems
Have Splatoon preinstalled, 5.4 spoofed to 5.5.1, latest update (v176 I think) v2.7 in game. Runs flawlessly, online or otherwise.

And THIS is why people need to stop supporting NUSgrabber and go download updates, dlc, amiibo's, and games from a wii u website. NUSgrabber only works when the Nintendo servers are up and running, any other time your are all fucked.

you can't download anything from wii u/nintendo website bro!! if you mean eShop, this is not possible with spoofed console as I know

So guys,

as mentioned above I ported WUP installer to HBL. It went pretty quick which is why I also took the time and changed the way wup installer works by a bit to to make it work on any firmware HBL works on and I also "pimped" it a bit.

I made two versions. The first version shows the install progress on the console during the installation and you always know how far you are with it which is pretty cool but there is a side effect by that though. After the installation is finished, it shows that it is completed successfully and it tries to go back to the WUP installer selection menu and hangs on that. You have to turn off the console then. The install is finished by that point though and it is safe to turn off the console. This does not happen if I don't try to get the progress of the installation. I didnt have much time to figure out what is causing this side effect but probably is something i overseen. I will look at it some other time again. That is why I will release the source code later when its complete. So until then I made a 2nd version which does not show the install progress but a message that install is started and then a transition screen from system menu to mii maker while the install is running. After the installation is finished it enters the WUP installer menu again and tells you it finished successfully. In that menu you can swap the SD card (if wanted) and do another title installation or return back to HBL. It would also be possible to list all titles on the SD card and make a menu to choose which title to install but for now its only this.

So here are the test binaries you guys can use:

Version without the install progress:
http://www55.zippyshare.com/v/Dhd9LYWg/file.html

Version with the install progress:
http://www96.zippyshare.com/v/M0xqb48F/file.html

Both versions should run on any firmware that HBL runs on and have the same security as the original WUP installer by crediar. Since it is possible to damage your console with that software (for example by installing wrong region system titles spoofing) I have to say that I am not responsible for any damage done to your console by this software.

Have fun with it.

That's a pretty dope game changer. Now that more people can play online with older firmware.

This would work on 5.5.x as well when kernal is released?

Oh right. Spoofing a 4.x.x or any other console other than 5.3.2 and 5.4.0 to 5.5.1 isnt tested. I dont know how well that will work (actually it only replaces the version string). Theoretically it should work but do it on your own risk (maybe try a game update title first to check general functionality). It is possible that that will allow you to play online.

Yes it should work on 5.5.x as well. I didnt test it though.

I've had troubles previously trying to install the latest SSB update ( I left it for 3 hrs and it's still not installed in both official release and Kakkoii_v1.2 ), Splatoon and Mario maker installed without any problem

and it's still the same with this release ( it's stuck in 13% :( )

I have a 5.3.2 USA spoofed to 5.5.1
How do I update Youtube, Netflix, Hulu & Amazon?

I updated Nintendo Zone without issue.
I can only seem to download Youtube etc, as Full Titles with New-NUSGrabber. Manually using nusgrabber 000500001014CE00 gets the same files.
These updates do not have a title.tik file.

When I use these I get a 0xFFFFFFFF error when going back to the Wii U menu after loading WUP Installer.

Ok I didnt try SSB update with this version but I did install it once (quite a while back) with the original version. I can re-install it later to check if its something on your side. It sounds to me like possible SD card issues. I would try re-format SD card with 64K cluster size or even try a different one. It could also be something more simpler like your WiiU not having enough space for it(?). You should check that

It's already 64k cluster, I'll try another SD card and see what happens, yes I still have 14gb in the NAND capacity.

BTW it could be a 5.4.0-only issue, because I've seen something similar previously, this is way @Kakkoii made a custom version for us
