What I noticed is for Emulators emulating the Powerpc Architecture (Wii, Wii U ect) the recompiler gives GREAT speedups 3-8x.
How ever for ARM (DS,3DS) Its seems to be less 2-3x.
Even if that ends up being the case, it will still be a lot better than the speed we have now.

tbh even though I was the one to bring up the question of recompiler I would be happier with xy/oras not crashing than getting speed up right now. its not like I want to play the game or anything. but I want to start using it to make HD recordings of battle videos. i currently dont have a working system so i cant dump extdata of the battle videos to test things out so I have been trying to get one saved from doing a battle house battle and I cant make it through a single battle before it crashes.

there isn't a recompiler for Citra that's usable so how do you know it will be slow?..

I wasnt using CItra as an example for the recompiler I was just saying it has a ARM processor like the DS.
I know but you were comparing how much faster the recompiler is for arm vs PowerCPU. The recompiler for Desume is just buggy, however i don't get any frame rate problems and runs on android full speed fine. Just wait for Citra to have a recompiler, i bet it will run around 8-10x speed.

You're not the only one who wants to use Citra for that purpose - I'm also hoping to be able to record battle videos with Citra at some point :) It's either that or NTR screen capture feature, which I don't think will ever work with old 3DS. So far, the older Citra build is able to start up and play battle videos, but they have a black background (problem with shaders) and the newer build is noticibly faster and battle backgrounds are displayed correctly, but soon after loading the battle videos, the game crashes with that build. As for extdata, you can use mine for testing.

I'm still betting 2-3x Speed =P.
Also Desmume for Android runs well for you? I only get 20-40fps on my Moto E 2nd Gen.

@KillzXGaming does the WIP Recompiler JIT have an alpha build or branch yet?
like i said, it is in the backend, you cant use it yet regardless if you use it. too incomplete i'd imagine. Ask @MerryMage about any questions since i am not the developer of it, there may be a bit of code you could mess with like gyro controls to activate it.
