Original xbox modding question

I didn't see a section for the original xbox. If there is one, and I just overlooked it, it would be appreciated if this thread got moved there.

So on topic.. a friend of mine picked up an original xbox and I've been eager to soft mod for him. I haven't touched one in years. I found an old copy of splinter cell that I had stored away but can't find a memory card. Typically I would just splice a USB cable to the controller to transfer the exploit save game, but that won't be an option without the card.

So my question is, would it be possible to hotswap the hdd to a pc after the mobo unlocks it and transfer the savegame that way? If so, what partition and directory are these savegame stored?

and a old 2gb mp3 player i didn't use anymore to transfer the softmod to the xbox. The mp3 player was formatted by the xbox to read as a xbox memorycard. I used S.I.D. 5.12.

Also one more thing. It does not matter if splinter cell is platinum hits or not. My platinum hits one works fine with it.

Hey guys. Just an update. The flash drive method worked great. Got xbmc going now. Gunna test some more stuff and then change out that hdd
