OP
So here's one thing that is bugging me since days. I already installed arm9loaderhax on several systems with different Firmware (up to 10.7.0-32) in the past weeks (o3DS, 3DS XL, 2DS, New 3DS XL, all of these PAL) and now I'm trying to get my savegames off my japanese New 3DS (10.7.0-32J). Used several homebrews like svdt and savemanager but couldn't get the saves for Picross 3D 2, Boxboy, etc. as the apps always hung up on the same colored bottom screen (red or yellow).

I'm now trying to just completely install arm9loaderhax on the japanese New 3DS, and as I don't have a japanese copy of Cubic Ninja or OoT3D but a digital copy of Smash Bros I'm trying this with Smashhax. Setting up Smashhax for the 1.0.1 version of my game was no problem, I boot into the homebrew launcher 100% of the time, but downgrading is literally impossible. Tried several different sysUpdater versions, Forks, Firmware versions (10.3, 10.5, 9.2, 9.0) but to no avail, it always freezes on HAX INIT or just stays black. Is the ARM11 exploit not working?

I've got an european edition of OoT3D, so I tried to install the 10.7.0-32J payload into one of the saveslots with the oot3dhax-installer to use it with region free in the homebrew launcher which I started with smashhax. The game starts, I can load the hax***** saveslot and get it to start the exploit. It shows "the ropbin is ready" and then both screen turn completely off (not only black) but the LEDs of the system still are on. Would this even work? (using one hax insider another), or is the combination of a PAL game with japanese payload not tested, working or intended?

Also tried to boot the .3dsx of sysUpdater and other versions directly with smashhax instead of the homebrew launcher, still no luck. Is there a way to start regionfree with smashhax?

I'm confused - You want to get access to the homebrew launcher to start a downgrade but you need at first region free (which requires homebrew launcher access) for starting a hax. You see the problem? You can't do that with out of region games

You still can buy the oldest sky3ds version one used and put cubic ninja on it

I have access to the homebrew launcher with smashbroshax, but this exploit method does not work with downgrading as it is unreliable, sysUpdater won't continue past the HAX INIT stage.
It's also stated multiple times in the smashbroshax-helper thread. What I want to do is -> start HBL with smashhax -> start out of region OoT3D to use oot3dhax -> get sysUpdater to work properly to downgrade

(???) I already wrote in my starting post that this method results in getting the ropbin message on the top screen but not able to continue past it.
I want to know if something like this was tested before, or if I have to use some other savegame for oot3dhax instead of the normal 10.7.0-32J one because I'm doing the oot3dhax with the smashbroshax as entry point.

Hi, thanks for you reply and the download link. Did you use this with Smashbroshax?

I use OoThax but try it anyway

Also use safesysupdater to verify that you have the right files to downgrade

You can try deleting all the other homebrew apps, and sysupdaters while leaving only the one I gave you in the 3ds folder. I still don't understand why it's not working because it should not matter what entry point you use but as long as you can access HBL.

Also try different microsd cards, preferably smaller ones.

Thanks for all your advice, but it still did not work, I also tried a 4GB microSD card.
Several people have this exact same problem as you can read in the smashbroshax-helper thread.

I think i can tell you that it doesn't work on smashhax, i tried to start the downgrade on 2 different systems over 100 times and had no luck.
I think your best bet is to get OOT and install the payload via smashhax.

Thanks for the confirmation, I thought this would be the case.
Is there a way to start oot3dhax with an out of region cartridge? I've got a PAL game here, which I used to downgrade other systems.
