Hello,

I was thinking about this since we got the first version of loadiine.

Wouldnt it be possible to use a f.e. a External HD which has USB, connect it to a SD Card adapter and plug it into the SD Card slot of the Wii U?
Okay, the SD Card slot doesnt give enough Power for the Harddrive, so we could use a external power adapter for this.

I googled a bit and all i found was this here:
http://www.saelig.com/product/MIO001.htm

Maybe someone knows what I mean, and finds a product.

Sorry for my poor english

Greetings.

The Product I linked is only for flash drives up to 32GB. So it wouldnt be possible to use it with a external hard drive...

Of course, even a 64GB fits for the few games I have.
Bought once a 128GB card for 48€ and it broke.

But it would be interesting if its possible.

Yeah the wii u games library is quite small, I think a 64gb or 128GB sd card is enough and it's not that expensive these days

Interesting, I didn't know USB to SD adapters existed. I would imagine that it might not be terribly reliable or sturdy and could have slow transfer speeds, but it should

It's limited by the SDHC specification to 32 GB, but most SDHC drives will read SDXC cards just fine, so there's a reasonable chance that it will work with bigger drives.
